Kirsty, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling? I am 18 years old, born, raised and live in the North East of England. Besides freelance fashion, commercial, catwalk modelling and promo modelling I am a student studying Level 3 extended certificate in fitness services at Newcastle college and I have a part time job as a cashier. Also I compete in pageants, at the beginning of this year I was crowned Miss Crown and Glory Photogenic 2017 and in June I was crowned Miss Newcastle Galaxy 2017/18. I go to nationals to compete for Miss Galaxy England in March 2018! I can’t wait, so excited!!! Also for this I am raising money for the charity The Christie NHS Foundation. I am enthusiastic about what I do, I am a very hard working, determined person always putting 110% effort into everything I do. I’m chatty, polite, well mannered, out going and very easy to get along with. I would also describe myself as unpretentious. I'm open, honest and straight forward I don’t try to impress anyone. I do things for my own benefit or to help others. I get told, I’m one of the most mature 18 year olds anyone has ever met. I get told, I am admirable as I am clear in my ambitions. photos by Richard Davison What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? A lot of thought into outfits, hair styles and make-up to match the photographers requirements or the brief given.
What do you love most about modelling? The fact, that I can be myself, and how it has opened so many doors for me, I’ve met a whole new community of wonderful people all across the UK and it has made me so much more confident in myself as a person as I was bullied throughout most of my education years in school and at the beginning of college. This knocked me back a lot. However, I feel like if that didn't happen to me, I wouldn’t be here now, as I would have already been confident, as I started all this for a confidence boost. What’s been the highlight of your career so far? Being published by companies and getting the opportunities to work with agencies and model managers. And the fact, that I am able to train others, that are wanting to get into the modelling industry. Seeing their progression is amazing! The photoshoot with Collin was more of a every day fashion look, I wore a white body suit from Zara, a lined skirt with gold look buttons from Primark, paler coat from Primark and black ankle boots with a gold look detail from Garage Shoes. photos by Colin Anderson Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? Richard Davison, Stephen Beecroft, Ian Wallis, Phil Reay, Collin Anderson and Christina Hunter. All these photographers are amazing to work with, and I’ve loved the images, I’ve received back off them. They are all so easy to get along with and are incredible, when it comes to shooting. They all support me throughout my modelling and pageantry, but constantly giving me advice on how to get even better and further in my career. photos by Ian Wallis Who would you say is your 'style muse'? I don’t look up to anyone for ‘style’. I put all my own outfits together. I wear, what I think works, what makes me feel good as I feel like this way my style can show, who I truly am. If an outfit, that you wear, doesn’t make you feel good, what’s the point in wearing it??
Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? My Rachel Allan couture evening gown paired with my Earring Envy silver necklace and earring set! This will be revealed next year at nationals!!
Thank you Kirsty for giving us a glimpse in your modeling life.

It's an obsession of mine and I would love to go far in fashion modelling, I have a level 3 diploma in fashion and textiles and have designed shoes for apparel polo, which was a designer who was just starting out and I was 18 years old and decided to contact him via an add he posted looking for help just for experience. As of now that designer is now doing very well and now has moved to America and has celebrity's buy from his stores. I have a level 2 in business studies and a level 2 in art and design, I am a very talented and creative artist and designer and still love designing clothes and would love to keep that going as a passion, maybe start my own clothes line
What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? Behind the scene of modelling its always good to feel comfortable and I always get on really well with my photographers as I'm a very open minded and friendly person. We do have a lot of fun and laughs, but when the pose is in place, it's all serious although we do get a couple of natural fun shots. The best shots are caught of guard when your laughing as you hate them but that's the fun side. I take modelling very seriously besides the fun and I research poses and give it my very best always and am open to suggested poses from the photographer and we tend to pick the outfits together sometimes as I have a large wardrobe. I am also open to buying new things the photographers suggests that will look great in a photo shoot. What do you love most about modelling? What I love most about modelling is getting dressed up because what girl doesn't like to look at best, also just shooting and the confidence boost I get from the amazing images received at the end, Modelling has always been one of my dreams I always looked up to majour models and still do.
Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? The photographers I most enjoy working with is Chris Harrison, John Jobling and Colin Anderson they are all just incredible photographers who have given me the most amazing images, they have all been the help of giving me my confidence for sure. They all have incredible personalities as well, I always feel so at ease shooting with all of them and never a dull moment which makes it all that more comfortable and easy to work with them, they are not just amazing photographers but amazing people. Define your personal style. My personal style is a hard one to judge as I never stick to one style I have many, I love the street grunge look but I also have a girly style and sophisticated style, some days I'm two different styles in one. The way I see style is everyone is different and I love to change it up and each day is a different style for me, all fashion styles are beautiful and unique so why just stick to one. Who would you say is your 'style muse'? I have many style muses but I have got to say I am in love with Pia Mia's style, she is a women who is a lot like me, who doesn't just stick to one style. The reason I love Pia's style so much is because the items of clothing she wears together you would never think of it meshing well but it dose and she owns it. I would describe pias style as quite hip hop, grunge and sophisticated all at once and generally all my style muses are like pia.
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar? If I had to pick between vogue or harper's bazaar it would defiantly be vogue, I have followed vogue from a young age and the outfits and the fashion is incredible and the models have been what I've looked up to my whole life. vogue is just amazing i wish I could of had the chance to be in vogue. Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? I am completely crushing on Elisabetta franchi milano's dress in vogue it's so beautiful, the colour the style is just breath taking and something I'd defiantly wear.

Jenn, how long have you been modeling? About 5 years. Any basic principles or belief you stand by ? I always believe everything happens for a reason, not matter what it is. Funfact : I love cats! What's your favorite part? The creative freedom! The fact you are able to create a picture and alter it with your body, your look, the pose, etc. I love being able to meet and collaborate with so many talented people. My family is from Egypt and having foreign parents made growing up in America a little hard. What has been your favorite experience ? My first runway show. It was for Park Avenue’s Fashion week in Winter Park. The runway was HUGE and long. I was beyond nervous because it was my first real show and I was casted last minute. Monday -Friday 11-8. After work I work out as much as I can. Then, I watch my favorite shows (Law and ORder SVU, WWE, and of course America's Next Top Model) and play with my 2 cats.
