Living in Switzerland, Austrian model Christine Riener was spotted by us in the German model community Model-Kartei.

We already follow her work and photos for a while and now had the opportunity for an interview with her.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I was scouted on Modelkartei about 2 years ago by a company, that invited  me to a casting and since then again and again provided me assignments at Wolford and Zalando.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots
One of my last shootings was quite exhausting. It was from Wolford for Zalando, lasted a week, from 8am to 7pm, but it was worth it despite the pain in the feet.

What is going on behind the scenes as a model?
It is not as easy as you often imagine, there are not just chocolate sides in model business. The beginning is hard and you have to work hard to reach your goals. Sometimes you also have to travel long distances and you don’t know, what really to expect, so are my experiences.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I do not have a favorite photographer. There are several with which the work really makes fun.

Your favorite designer is ...?
I buy my dresses at Bershka. I don’t really have a favorite designer. I for example like Philipp Plein.

Is there any crushing on right now?
No, I wear what I like and not what is trendy now.

What do you want to do in the next 5 years?
I would like to go for a few months to New York and Los Angeles.

Back to Austria to my family.

Let me introduce you to an aspiring model, Heather Kobza. She is a 37 year old woman who grew up in the hills of Kentucky. She says she will always be a country girl at heart, those are her roots. She decided to move to Florida three years ago and loves being so close to the ocean, she also has four degrees, one as a preschool teacher which she did for eight years. She decided to compete in a national modeling contest, which she placed third out of ten different counties on the runway. After that she was offered a one year modelling contract with a Florida\Miami modeling agency, she is also a part of models with a cause with Tim Bear. The purpose of model with a cause is to show the strength these women have dealing with chronic illnesses. Although her career in the modeling world is relatively new she has been in two TV commercials.

How long have you been modeling?
I have been modeling professionally for about 4 years.

What's your favorite part?
Being able to express myself in many different forms through an image. Every image tells a story.

How was home life for you growing up?
It was great! I have always wanted to be famous, but I am so glad that I have not yet reached that point as I was blessed to experience a real childhood. I have been through a lot in my life, but I regret nothing as they were all lessons learned. I was also a pretty rebellious teenager, but I’ll save those stories for my E! True Hollywood Story segment in the future hehe.

Were you always supported in your endeavors?
Kind of, sort of. My mom definitely was supportive of me being a dancer, I mean she did put me in my first ballet shoes at 2 years old! And she would take photos for me to submit to agencies and take me to auditions every now and then, but she always pushed me to just stay focused on school and finish it before really pursuing anything full time. I’m not upset about it, I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on anything. Things have moved so fast for me since college, and I am proud to say I completed my education.

Whats a typical day for you?
There is no typical day for me, everyday I am either rehearsing for something or doing something different from yesterday...whether it’s filming a movie, modeling for a photoshoot, performing a festival...or sometimes hanging out at home and doing some yoga with hot tea.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself as a celebrity that inspires millions to follow their hearts and dreams, and spreading love and positivity across the world. In five years I also hope to own a modeling school/agency for foster children, and a holistic medicinal center for those with mental illnesses.
If you could shoot with your favorite celebrity who would it be. And what kind of concept? Paris Hilton, that girl rocks everyone of her shoots and she has grown up to be such a powerful business woman! The concept would be bold and colorful 90’s style with a high fashion twist.

Who is your favorite designer?
If Heatherette was still around, that would be my first choice. But right now it’s a tie between Betsey Johnson and Moschino.

Any other additional hobbies?
Painting, hula hooping, fire eating, contortion, crafting, yoga, and reading.

What's your favorite quote?
“Teach me the rules and I’ll teach you how to break them.” This was my senior quote in high school.
Do you have any shows or events coming up? I was recently casted as a performer for the Sin City Comedy and Burlesque Show at Planet Hollywood, and my debut performance will be November 12th with headliner Dustin Diamond.
