in today's model feature we like to introduce you to Zoe Cecilie Vendel Vogelius, a young and up coming model from the western part of Denmark. You might already have seen her in some of the pictures of photographer Egon Hye as well as in the article 'long distance shooting before the dusk' in Lifestyle ZZ. We now have got the opportunity for an interview with her to be able to provide you a glimpse into her world of modeling.
Picture
Zoe, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
My name is Zoe Cecilie Vendel Vogelius, and I am 18 years old. I was born in a small town on a Danish island named Fyn. After a while, me and my mom moved to a city named Silkeborg, in Jutland, and today I still live here with my mom and my little brother who is 13. Right now, im studying on Silkeborg Gymnasium in second grade, where I study socialstudies as a main course. In my sparetime I'm mostly studying and doing homework. Otherwise I work as an amateur model and I have a job in a nightclub as a wardrobe girl in the weekends.
Picture
What do you love most about modelling?
Since I was a little girl, I always loved to be in front of the camera. I love to get some challenges about posing and try new stuff. Everytime you work as a model, you get some new learning about what to do, and what not to do. I love to cross some limits, because it's only your mind, which is making your own personal limits.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
It was actually a coincident, that a photographer found me on facebook. He was an amateur, and needed a model to practise on, and so I gave it a shot. And then some different photographers started contacting me about they wanted to do photoshoots with me. But it was first, when my photographer, Egon Hye, started taking pictures of me, that I got some attention about my work. And after a photoshoot with Egon Hye as a photographer, this magazine Streetfashion-MagZZine.com contacted us, and wanted to interview and show our photoseries on their website.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
I had a very different shoot few weeks ago. It was with a photoclub from middle Jutland. The theme was colours. Mostly headshots with a crazy painting in the face. There was makeup artists to make our makeup. We were 4 models and 9 photographers, and that was a lot of fun and a whole new thing for me. That was my first shoot with that kind of makeup, and I liked it a lot.
What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
It is of course a hard work to do. You have to be focused all the time, but it is worth it, because it is so fun too. You need to spend a lot of time in the makeup chair, haha. It takes time to do hair and makeup, so there is a lot of pre work before the shoot. But when you like to do yourself pretty, then it isn't a problem, haha.
Picture
Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I mostly like my cooperation with Egon Hye, who is the person I have the most of my photoshoots with. I think it is very important to have a good bond between model and photographer. I can personally say, when I feel confident with my photographer, then I perform better in front of the camera.
Define your personal style.
I think I am a girl, who wears everything, and I am not this girl, with only one style. I love small dresses, high heels, lots of accessories and dramatic makeup. But I also like to wear some jeans, sneaks and a street shirt or something in that way. I think I am an everything-girl, haha.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I dont know if I have a style muse, but I like Zara Larsson, and her way to style. Her style is so different, classic, girly and fancy in the same time. She just don't have that one way to dress, but in all way to dress herself up, i like it a lot!

Your favourite designer is… ?
Absolutely Pierre Balmain. Im really in love with Balmains type of different styles, and his way to make this exclusive clothes. He makes all his clothes so completely and all these details in one dress, so amazing! All the decoration, the different styles and absolutely pretty clothes for both women and men. I think he's is my favourite designer, because Balmain makes this clothes, that not everyone can carry owing to these special unique look.

Picture
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
I will say Vogue. Vogue have always the newest trends and runways.

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
Oh, right now, im really in love with the pink fringe tassel dress from Balmain, that Kylie Jenner wore to Harper's Bazaars celebration.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
Finish my education, have fun, have a lot of photoshoots and enjoy life.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
New York, absolutely. It has always been my dream to see and visit NY.

Thank you so much Zoe for giving us a glimpse of your way to become a model. We wish you the best and hope to catch up in the near future for another interview ... maybe in NY.

we are more than happy to have got the opportunity to introduce you to Dutch model Nadine Werkhoven, who is based in the Netherlands near Amsterdam. She is the reigning 'Miss Beauty of Utrecht' and 2nd runner up in the 'Miss Beauty of the Netherlnds' beauty pageant. Take a look at her photos and learn about her by reading Streetfashion MagZZine's interview with her:
Nadine, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
My name is Nadine Werkhoven, I’m 22 years old. I was born in Amsterdam and raised in a village 15km outside of Amsterdam. I studied forensic science and I currently work as a cybercrime investigator. Besides this hardcore beta existence, I dance in a showballet and I love to do modeling.
What do you love most about modeling?
Everytime I see the results of a shoot, I’m amazed. I love to see myself in different ways, different settings and in different light. It’s amazing what you can do with just light. The creativity of the photographer and how that reflects on the results is what I love most about modeling.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
The highlight of my career must be participating in a beauty pageant this year, “Miss Beauty of the Netherlands”. It all started by winning the state pageant: “Miss Beauty of Utrecht” and it continued by winning the “2nd runner up Miss Beauty of the Netherlands” title.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
A recent shoot I did took place on a helicopter platform, how crazy is that?! Fortunately I was not afraid of heights! The results were amazing. You could see the skyline of the city of Rotterdam and it looked beautiful.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
First everybody needs to know that what you see on a picture is not how you wake up. A whole team of stylists and make-up artists sometimes spend several hours on a look. You actually spend more time in a make-up chair than in front of the camera. A little less glamour now right? ;-).

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I have not worked with that many photographers yet, but I really liked working with Raf DeBruyne. I loved his creativity and his way of working with light, surroundings and props.

Define your personal style.
I think my style can be defined in one quote: “Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance”. With good basics you’ll have endless options. Don’t forget; less is more!
Picture

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?

My style muse must be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She makes an outfit. An outfit so simple but on her yet so stylish, I admire that.

Your favourite designer is… ?
I don’t really have a favorite designer. I like to buy my clothes in little boutiques and I’m also addicted to online shopping. I buy what I like whatever the designer or brand may be.
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Vogue because the Netherlands has been publishing it longer than it has been publishing Harper’s Bazaar.

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
I’m crushing on the chocker right now! I love how it can turn any ordinary girl into a tough chick.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope I will represent the Netherlands in an international beauty pageant this year or maybe next year. I also hope I still work as a cybercrime investigator and that I’m more experienced in the modeling business.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
If I could go anywhere I would go to New York City. I’ve been there two years ago and it immediately felt like home to me. Such a gorgeous city.

being a law student, young and upcoming model Annemarie Beldman, we like to introduce you today, just by coincidence became a part time model. Cause we really like her appearance in front of the camera, we asked her for an interview and she agreed. So here we are, can share some of her photos with you and let you learn a bit more about this model by reading our interview with her.
Picture
Annemarie, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
My name is Annemarie Beldman and I’m born on 25 feb ’95 so currently I’m 21 years old. I live in a small village called “Holten” in The Netherlands (Holland). I grew up in this village but born in the hospital of Deventer, a city nearby. I’m a college LAW student, and studying for jurist, but I want to become a lawyer. That’s one of the big dreams I have. When I once had a love shoot planned with my lovely boyfriend, the photographer asked me afterwards, if I had some model experience. I did not, so he told me, that he likes me on camera and that I really should try it. I never knew how I could set my portfolio up and all those things, and I’m just a poor student. I started to do some TFP(Time for Print)- Shoots, I liked it, so I continued with that.

What do you love most about modeling?
The fact that you can tell a story or give an extra impression on a photo. You can be someone else and escape from the real world. It really gives me some sense of freedom.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I met a couple of fantastic Photographers. I guess that what I’m doing at the moment isn’t really a career because until now I am not discovered or got paid shoots.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.

Last shoot was really cool. I worked with Patrick Treffers and 2 male models. Patrick had a school assignment and we started to find a location outside because it was to crowdie inside. Out of the blue next to his school was a old abandoned fishnet factory and they were building or renovate it. We started shooting on the building place outside the factory, at some moment we got permission to shoot inside the factory. It was just a great creative project and the passion of Patrick for photography goes really deep and I guess that is what this shoot is definitely my favorite.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
Your hair and clothes need to be ‘on fleek’ for the shot. So there is a lot of corrections and accompagnement, but also a lot of laughter and fun. Most of the shoots I did were very informal. It depends of the shoot idea is from the team together or only from the photographer. In the last case you are just listening and follow instructions, waiting for make-up & hair and all those things. If it is an idea of you and the team, then there is a lot of talking about your opinion in how things should be. But I like to also have a laugh behind the scene.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I did not work with photographers in the industry, so I really don’t know how it would be. I shooted with upcoming photographers and hobby-photographers. I hope that I can answer this question one day.

Define your personal style.
I really am not a one style girl. I like to dress a little Sexy chic –completed with high-heels- or just the street style, - cutted jeans-sneakers-nice top -.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
“Nikkie Plessen” she definitely define my style. She is a fashion designer from Holland and I love all of her looks and collections. She combines chic with street style and her collections and looks are elegant and gives you the independent woman feeling. I love it!

Your favourite designer is… ?
Karl Lagerfeld! The brain behind “Chanel” of course. He is constantly changing his way of working and really go with the times. He did even make his work more accessible for normal-people to work with H&M. I think it’s important to really put you on the map. The passion, creativity and dedication.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Vogue, they got the best of the new runway looks.
Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
No, because when I do I only disappoint myself because they are way too pricy for me. But I really want a Michael Kors bag for my birthday, and definitely not a fake one.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope that I’ve learned more and that my network in the model and fashion industry will be a lot bigger. Of course i hope that someone discovers me, so I can learn more and let the world see who I am.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
That’s difficult I really like to go to Canada, because a part of my family lives there and I really love the nature but also the big cities like Toronto and Montreal. Besides that I also want to live the American dream in a middle big city somewhere where the weather is hopefully better then in Holland haha!
