EDITORIAL GUIDELINES
Before submitting a story for publication, please read the following guidelines and answers to frequently asked questions. It may seem like a lot, but it will help you stay organized and help our publication speed!
Editorial Length & Construction
Your editorial must be at minimum 6 images long. We have no maximum story length. We are a unisex magazine, and encourage you to submit stories with women, men, and a combination of women and men. Please note: Streetfashion MagZZine reserves the right to further crop, manipulate, or to cut images from the final story to fit with magazine flow.
Streetfashion MagZZine reserves the right to change the name of your editorial. While we know you love the name you have assigned your editorial, it may not fit with what we are planning. Please know in advance, if your editorial name does not quite fit, we will change it.
Compensation
We do not pay for submissions. Any expenses or costs of your editorial are at your own risk. You can however pitch us a story and if we love the concept, Streetfashion MagZZine may exclusively provide you a pull letter. Please keep in mind, that in order to keep our overhead costs at a minimum, we do not provide complimentary print copies to submissions, which will be featured.
SUBMISSION PROCEDURES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Step 1: Seeing, if your story is a cut above.
To submit an editorial for publication, please do the following:
* Send an email containing your images to [email protected]
* attach or embed high resolution images (minimum 300 dpi) without watermark in the email
* provide your contact information to contact you, if your submission is accepted
Do not send submissions to any of our other emails or staff members. They will not be read and will be deleted. Only send submissions to [email protected]
Step 2: Acceptance
If Streetfashion MagZZine chooses your submission for publication, we will respond to you as quickly as possible to notify you. Please note, that selected stories must be exclusive to Streetfashion MagZZine. Once the issues are full, we close them and move on to the next month. We normally work 1 month ahead, so its imperative, that we receive requested materials promptly.
Proper Credits
Streetfashion MagZZine requires both clothing and artistic credits. A lack of true and proper credits seriously jeopardizes the credibility of both the magazine and your work, so please keep this in mind. If you need more time to pull credits, please seriously consider delaying your submission.
Rejection
Please know, that due to the volume of editorials, we receive, that we only respond to those, that we accept. If you send us an editorial and do not hear back from us, chances are your editorial was not accepted. We encourage you to keep submitting your stories for future issues.
Your responsibilities after acceptance
If your editorial is accepted, a staff member of Streetfashion MagZZine will email you with instructions for proper image, link and interview submission. Your approved editorial will be in the online editions of Streetfashion MagZZine.
On the occasion you are invited to submit any fashion editorial / photography submissions to be published in Streetfashion MagZZine, you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant Streetfashion MagZZine the right to reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, make available to the public, and / or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed.
You warrant that your contribution
* Is your own original work and that you have the right to make it available for purposes specified above
* Is allowed to be used in all our formats including: our online magazine, digital tablets, limited edition print, marketing material etc.
* Has not been printed / published elsewhere
* It is not defamatory
* It does not infringe on any law
You agree to indemnify Streetfashion MagZZine against all legal fees, damages, and other expenses, that may be incurred by Streetfashion MagZZine as a result of your breach of the above warranty, and waive any moral rights in your contribution for the purposes of its submission to and publication on Streetfashion MagZZine and the purposes specified above.
