MODEL FEATURE

she hopes to be discovered for her long legs

Pictureall photos by Lutz Mahnhardt
but take a look yourself, see Lena's amazingly long legs and read our interview with her about modelling and her expectations for the future.

Lena, why modelling?

First and foremost, it’s fun. I’ve always been told I should be modelling because I have a good body – especially very long legs. The first time I actually did modelling was because of a friend who’s a photographer. Another reason are the results. It is great to get some beautiful shots and it would be amazing to be discovered in the future.

What do you love most about modelling?
The nice photos. When modelling you have the possibility to change yourself, become somebody else and see another side of you. Also you can outgrow your normal personality.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I did a photoshoot for Pett Extra Long Sizes. The photos are displayed in the store and used to be on their homepage.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.

Besides the Photoshoot for Pett, I did a levitation shooting which was so much fun. Also I did several fashion shootings, that I enjoyed and of cause some personal shoots with my sister or partner but those are kept private.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I haven’t been booked that often, but I really like working with Lutz Mahnhardt.

Define your personal style.
My style is very versatile since I dress the way I feel and adjust my style to the occassions. So when I am home I like it comfy but when I go out, I like to dress up.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I do not have that one certain muse. I just like to go shopping with friends and try new stuff.

Your favourite designer is… ?
No one. I don’t care much about designer fashion or labels, I rather care about the clothing’s look and how it feels wearing them.

Picture
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Neither. I do not read fashion magazines.

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
Nope.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope to be modeling more. Maybe to be discovered for my long legs and model for tight companies or something similar. Maybe also doing some runway.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
I would really love to visit the States, I’ve never been there.

she's quite versatile in her appearance ... here's your chance to get some more info about Hamburg based model Sophie Heinemeyer. Read our interview with her and take a look at her amazing photos.

Sophie, why modelling?
I actually don’t really remember, how this got startet .. but I love seeing, what a lot of hard work can look like. The results are worth it. I love the diversity and, as long as I have the possibilities to extend my abilities, I'll continue this special hobby.

What do you love most about modelling?
Modeling allows me to invent myself completely new with every shooting. It figures out all these different facets of oneself.

Picture
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
hmm don’t know about an actual highlight. I had a lot of great shootings, but maybe you could say, that the fashion show in Lüneburg, i joined, was a little highlight even though i am not that type of model, that belongs to a catwalk.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
Unfortunately i did not have that much time for shooting the last months, but i really enjoyed our little shooting trip to Denmark last year and a little meetup last friday. Of course i am already making shooting plans for this year..

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
There are a few photographers i like. I like working with very different characters, so that every shooting is unique. Of course there are some photographers, i’ve worked with more often like Mathias Lehmann or Jens Sprengel.

Your favourite designer is… ?
hmm favourite designer.. very difficult question for me, because i don’t spend my little money on designer pieces ..i like fashion, that is a little special, but i don’t really care who’s name is written on the label.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?

I am really not that into this fashion world.. So without any reason I'll just say Vogue, hoping to see that little logo underneath one of my pictures one day.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 Years i hope to get as far as possible with my studies, cause i am hoping to be a succesful therapist one day.. Apart from that i hope to extend my poledancing skills.. I don’t know, what about modelling.. I hope to be able to continue with it, but only, if i still have the possibility of improving myself.. So we'll see, at what point i might need to quit. Hope its not going to be that soon..

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?

New York! Definitely! I've been there about 2 years ago for about 7 days and i fell in love with this place in the first few seconds ..

She's quite new in modelling business, but already reach out for her own 'Victora's Secret'-Wings.

View some of her photos and read our interview with Texas based up and coming model Sierra Gibson.

Sierra, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
I'm 19 yrs old, born in Dallas Texas and grew up (mostly) in Ennis, Tx.  I'm currently living in Bedford. I want to not only be a professional model some day but also a makeup artist!

Could you share with us how you first became interested in modeling?
I've always hated my height! I was always the tallest girl in school and got made fun of a lot, but once I got older I found a love for fashion and knew I could use my height to my advantage. Plus I love getting all made up and taking pictures, I'm always amazed what photographers can do and their artist abilities.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

I'm still fairly new to modeling.....I recently got involved with " Steampunk Chuck" and he is trying to make fashion more about the individual person not a certain  "size" of one. He is showing girls how to have respect for themselves, and show fashion is beautiful in all sizes and shapes. So I excited to be apart of his adventures!

What kind of jobs have you done as a model, e.g. catwalk, outdoor shootings, fashion weeks, hostess?
So far I've done mostly outdoor shoots, and some studio, for experience or expanding mine or the photographers portfolio. I do have a few things coming up where I will get to be a promotional model and some AD work. Some I'm excited to be getting more in-depth in modeling this year.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I don't think I really have one!  However my favorite model is Candice Swanepoel. I love everything she does!!
Picturephotos by Adriane Jevnick
Your favourite designer is… ?
Ooooo hard one! I'll go with Vera Wang. She does it all.....shoes, jewelry, wedding gowns, high end fashion, etc.  And I love the fact that she has lines that anyone can afford.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
VOGUE! Every models dream is to land a cover on this magazine. :)

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
Ok.... Although I don't know who designs them....I really want my own "wings" from Victoria Secrets. :)  But this is more of a personal goal for me.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope to be signed with a agency and  modeling all over the country. Plus I'm working on my getting my Professional Makeup License so I hope to be doing that as well.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
For the model in me: New York Or Paris.....the fashion capitols of the world! I just want to be apart of Fashion week one day and all that comes with it.
For fun: Colorado......I'm LOVE the snow and want to go skiing!! Of course I am in Texas so that doesn't happen for us here.

She's Miss Junior Teen Great Britain

Congratulation's from Streetfashion MagZZine to Harriotte Lane for winning Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2015/2016.

She's just 14 years young and already going to start a great career as a model. We were lucky to get an interview with her.

Harriotte, first of all congratulations to become Miss Junior Teen Great Britain.
How do you feel about it?

I still don’t believe it! I remember I’ve won and get all excited again!!! I couldn’t be more proud though of representing such a prestigious title and being the person chosen to represent so many hardworking girls.

Seeing your remarkable way, I am curious where your endurance comes from in your young age?
I want to be successful and that doesn’t happen from waiting for it to happen. You have to work hard and create opportunities.

Why modelling and what does it mean to you?
So many reasons for why modelling for me, I got involved when I was younger because my mum needed a model for some client pictures, it was a fun experience which sparked the interest but modelling for me is my creative outlet and lets me be comfortable with who I am.

What do you love most about modelling?
I love the creative aspect, the clothing and the styling. I try to work with positive people as well so time spent in good company is always a pleasure. I also like to see what impact the work has, hopefully it helps build a brand, sell a product or create a lifestyle aspiration.

What will be your responsibilities in the role as Miss Junior Teen Great Britain?
It’s about being a good role model, I think if you ask my pageant Director I come under the category of ‘crazy’ out of the queens as I do like to have fun. There are some expectations to do a certain amount of appearances but I did that quota in the first month as I’m really active in community and charity work already.
Being Miss Junior Teen Great Britain gives me more opportunities than I could ever create, its put me on a national platform which has been great for my modelling work, I’m reasonably well know and a good reputation in the North East but this has given interest Internationally, I’ve even just cast for a New York based modelling agency, fingers crossed for positive feedback on that soon!

PictureShot Richard Hanley | make up Diva Dust | ties Always Wear Red
You do quite a bit of commercial modelling work; not just catwalk. Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
Last shoot was with Photographer Richard Hanley, (make and hair by Diva Dust) for a new brand about to launch called Always |Wear Red, it’s an accessory company that only sells red luxury items. I was challenged to see if women could wear mens ties. I think we nailed it and totally went crazy with the styling mashing together mens suits and ties with gowns and crown.

September and October I shot loads of product images, it’s that time of year when shops have the new stock that they need on the web but I prefer the editorial style work, 40 outfits in the same positions on a plain back drop isn’t much fun, but it pays and often gets you more work if it’s done well.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
Lots of eating hahaha, its not all glamor as some people think. Location shoots can often find you freezing, changing in fields and facing all the elements. Last year I did a bikini shoot on the roof top of a building in February. It was blowing a gale, about 3 degrees and raining, it’s hard to channel your inner goddess when you are cold, wet and often tired as some shoots can take a full day. We nailed the shoot though and celebrated with chips!

PictureShot Marie Harkness | Make up Chantal Jane Yeung

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?

So many amazing photographers in the North East, I think my top 2 shoots are with Marie Harkness and Sarah Brown, both were organised by a good friend who owns editorial model agency Savalas Models. The shoots with Marie and Sarah were the foundation to my portfolio that got the interest of 4 London agencies that want to see me when I hit 15.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
Gigi Hadid is my muse all round, I love her style, her quirky nature. Rosie Huntington-Whitely is also a big influence, I love how classy and confident she is.

PictureShot by Richard Hanley
Define your personal style.
PJ’s are my life! That and jodhpurs as I ride and have my own horse who I spend most of my spare time with. When I dress to go out I don’t follow the crowd and I don’t do casual very well, I tend to wear dresses but I think that’s a tall girl thing as I gave up finding trousers long enough!
I try to be unique and express myself. Stylist Nisha Vedhara helps me pick a lot of my wardrobe choices and I buy most of my day wear from her shop Love Niche.

Your favourite designer is… ?
Elie Saab, one day I want to walk on the Miss World or Miss Universe stage in one of his creations

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Harper’s Bazaar, so much more quirky and creative

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
I have 100’s of screen grabs of my current clothing crushes, if only double tapping on Instagram put it in the wardrobe! Currently have 3 Sherri Hill gowns I’m trying to choose between for giving back my crown in, I want all 3 of them!

Picturebehind the scenes of a shoot for Feels, the new model scouting app for Storm Models

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?

I hope I’m an established main board model for a major agency plus I plan to study fashion at university as well so in 5 years I should be on that journey.
I also want to go for Miss World or Miss Universe when I’m old enough, once I hand back my Miss Junior Teen Great Britain Crown I plan to continue my pageant journey towards them and hopefully get to compete internationally.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
So many places I want to go, New York, Dubai, Australia, everywhere in Europe but right now I love living in Newcastle.

You already have seen her on our 'picture of the day' of the 25th of October 2015. Now we like to introduce you a bit more to model Alba María Galán Mena, who is based in Sevilla, Spain. Watch some of her amazing pictures and read our interview with her ... here in ZZ Model Feature:

Alba María, why modelling?

What I love of being a model is, that what I do, is seen and appereciated by people and also because they know me for what I like to do.

What do you love most about modelling?

It has been myself, since I have done, what I wanted in every step, thinking in aims, which I have got gradually.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Yes, until now, my work is related with the fashion World, such as catwalk or photography. Recently, I have been working as a hostess and pose for different companies.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?

Behind is a normal person with the same personality as another one, with qualities, faults and imperfections, but with a huge motivation for her job.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I have enjoyed all of the shots, that I have done, but specially I loved one with the photographer Miguel Angel Moya, since it was a funny session, peaceful and with the best results.

Define your personal style.
My style is quite classical. Also the way, I think or the way, I live. I'm only wearing normal clothes. On weekends I wear trendy clothes. My lifestile is quiet and funny at the same time, since I split my time to be able to do all what I like.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
I would prefer "Vogue " because of the organization, matters of interest, etc.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope to end up my degree and be able to pass the final test to be a excellent teacher and of course, go on with the fashion world, since I love it.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
I would love to go to United States because I consider there is the fashion World, also I would like to go to London.
