you already have seen her on our cover in April. Model Andrea Jackson has always been the tall skinny girl, who as the first question got asked by people, if she plays basketball and or being a model. Meanwhile she is a quite experienced model, who has done a lot of photo sessions and also runway jobs including New York Fashion Week. Take a look at her photos and follow us in the interview with Andrea to learn a bit more.
Andrea, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
My name is Andrea Jackson I was born and raised in Lima, Ohio. I currently reside in Charlotte, NC. Not only do I model but I work in Admissions for a college and started a nonprofit called Project Orange.

What do you love most about modelling?
I have to say the thing I love about modeling is having a team style and prep me from head to toe. Believe it or not I am a small town girl and and completely fine wearing a ponytail, yoga pants and a t-shirt everyday! I love being comfy but it feels great to have a team pull an entire look together.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I have to say the highlight of my career was modeling in New York Fashion Week and Uptown Fashion Week! I absolutely love NY minus the cold. I worked with amazing designers Adrian Alicea and Marlene H Couture. It was surreal to be around so many talented designers and to see these incredible productions come to life.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
I recently did a shoot with shop Sizetique an online boutique and some lifestyle photo work with one of my favs Justin B.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
Behind the scenes is generally a bunch of hungry models (well at least I am always eating). Also, it is a lot of prep work hair, makeup, wardrobe it can be a long day depending on the project.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I enjoy working with Justin Bonaparte, Mike Johnson (MJNC), and Lonnie Gregory.

Define your personal style.
My person style is comfy!!!

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
"Olivia Pope" and Michelle Obama ... I just love their style, now if only I had their stylist on a daily basis I might consider giving up some of my comfy days.

Your favorite designer is ?
This is tough I dislike the word favorite because I can never just choose one... Marc Bouwer & Willfredo Gerardo.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?

Vogue

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
I can't think of anything right off hand ...

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years I plan to switch from independent to agency representation with travel included in that plan. While also completing my Masters degree and also expanding my nonprofit to other geographical locations.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
Caribbean Island

we are more than happy to have got the opportunity to introduce you to a real sunshine ... curvy model Alessia Santi, who is based in Tuscany, Italy. With 6'1 she is an imposing appearance and convinced us immediately with her beautiful smile. Take a look at her photos and learn about her by reading the following interview:
Picture
Alessia, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
I'm Alessia Santi, from Italy ... hi everybody! :-) I was born in Grosseto on 1989 so... I'm 27, I'm becoming old!!! I always lived here in Tuscany with my family (i went out only for studying and working in Perugia for 3 years) in a farm with lot of animals: I'm a model but i love working in my farm, this is my other job!!

What do you love most about modelling?
I really love traveling in lot of places: My job makes me go to lot of cities and to other countries, this is what i love most!! and i love modeling for another reason too: I started for having some photos to show to my grandchildrens when I'll be a grandma.. and now i have a lot of photos where I'm beautiful (thanks photoshop ) and I know that when I'll be older I'll remember these years with joy!!

What's been the highlight of your career so far?
It was when I worked for Miroglio's group (the most important italian Group of plus size fashion): I was a model for them at a show in Milan and then I made a shooting for their brand Fiorella Rubino! They made two castings in one year and i won both!! so proud of this....

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?

Being a model isn't simple: A curve model need like other ones to be everyday on top... so you need to eat healthy (if you're a curvy model too), use tons of moisturizing cream, treat your hair and nails ... sleep a lot, especially when you're going to work.. no matter if you took a plane or a train and  traveled a lot, you must be smiling and fresh or you'll loose your client! So don't say that it's one of most easier jobs!!!

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
My latest shooting was unique! I've broken one of my knees and than I need to use crutches... i had a mail exchange with agencies in Europe and i needed fresh polas to show so i needed to make a little set for shoot them ... can you imagine make a shooting in these conditions?!??! I made it walking with heels and crutches... throwing them and striking a pose... it was hard but really funny!!! I made it with my friend and photographer Francesco Lutzu so it was a really nice afternoon!!
Picture
Another one of my last shootings was my first international work: I took a plane and went to Bremen (Germany) for made photos for Bonprix, a really important international brand ... it was so exciting!!!!  I shooted for 3 days making photos with a lot of outfits and working with wonderful photographers, stylists and make up artists...  and now they are on Bonprix's online shopping!!!!! love it!!

What’s the biggest misconception about curve models?

Lot of persons think that curve models are nice girls who love eating and don't like to go to gym so they started modeling with lot of kilos on their body. This is a superficial way of thinking!! I always say that, first of all, curve model don't need to be obese!! More kilos than size-zero models yes! but healthy!! A curve model need to be tonic more than normal models! Because of this I go to gym 3 times a week (and sometimes i play Volleyball) and I eat according to mediterranean diet...
SO DON'T SAY CURVE MODELS ARE LAZI GIRLS!!!

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
I really loved Oliviero Toscani's anorexia campaign and I would like to partecipate to some project like this with him ... but ... the photographer I love most is Tim Walker!!! I LOVE his style and his creativity!!!!

Define your personal style.
My style?!? It depends on how I get up in the morning!! Sometimes rocker, sometimes sporty, sometimes urban chic, sometimes retro.... I can define it a MIX! :-)

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I don't have a muse, because of my lot of styles at the moment... but I can say that when i'll be older, my style will be inspired by Michelle Obama! I love her outfits!! Really gorgeous, sporty woman.. and really nice clothes for formal occasions!!!

Your favourite designer is… ?
My favorite designer for plus size fashion is Marina Rinaldi, an italian brand... I hope to work for them one day!!!!!! I really love their dresses: Formal or not, fresh and with lot of colors!!! And for "normal" fashion Giorgio Armani!!!!!
Picture
Picture

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?

Vogue of course!!!! it's the most important fashion magazine all over the world.. being on their cover is the crown of a career!!!!

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
mmmmh.... no... there is't I'm sincere...

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope to continue my career like curve model and find other agencies all over the world ... i hope to work with most important Italian and international brand, walk on most important catwalks and (it's a dream) be famous like Candice Huffine and Ashley Graham!! I started modeling late (only when i was 25 years old) but I made a really nice career in a few years.. so... I hope!!!

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
I would like to travel all around the world, see Bahamas, Caraibi, Asia, Australia.. see all most important cities and places ... but after every trip... I want to return home... I love my places... and first of all...  my Mum.

I literally will wear ANY style simply because I love fashion so much

... so the avowal of Rose Pendleton, who we like to introduce you today. First of all it was a challenge to decide, in which division we present Rose, cause she is much more than a model. She's a designer, model, actress, writer and photographer. As you can see, we finally decided for the model division nevertheless it is a wide range of professions, in which she's involved. Let yourself be surprised by Rose's versatility and inventiveness.
Picture
Rose, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
Hi! My name is Rose Pendleton (and occasionally Emma Rose Evans), I'm 29 years old.  I was born in San Bernardino, CA a little city east of Los Angeles, CA and still live there, which is nice because I can go to Los Angeles when I need to but don't have to deal with all the traffic!  I have SEVERAL professions in the entertainment and fashion industries!
First and foremost, I'm an actress.  I originally wanted to be a film director but fell in love with being a different person everyday.  I have also directed a few short films (working on my next one at the moment) and have worked on film sets in several crew positions.
I am also a fashion model (as you already know).  I mostly do print and runway, I occasionally do promotional modeling and red carpet interviews as well, but most of my latest projects have been collaborations for my website called Rosie Says Hello.
I studied digital media in school, so I'm a published photographer, and work seasonally at a photography studio close to my hometown and offer freelance photography for all types (portraits, weddings, events, etc).  I also do freelance graphic & web design as well as illustration and offer silk screening services (I have my own 6 screen machine).
I own a clothing line called I'm A Jerk Industries.  I do most of the silk screening myself, but sometimes I outsource if I don't have time (all designs are by me though).  I hand make all my jewelry and feather accessories and I'm A Jerk has been featured in several Fashion Week events, TV Shows, magazines, and I usually try to wear some of the products in my acting projects (I've gotten away with it in 4 projects so far ha!)
LASTLY, I'm an writer/journalist.  I spend a majority of my time working on my website Rosie Says Hello which features all types of artists.  I previously had my own columns in Lemonade Magazine called "The Fashion Minute" and StoryLeather.com's Fashion Insider. I've done several guest writing posts at various outlets, and I will be soon contributing to another lifestyle site in the fashion and art section starting in the next few months.  I'm also working on two different books, one is in a diary form about a girl being in love with someone she can never have and the other is a fantasy/romance/drama novel.
That was a lot! I try to stay busy!

What do you love most about modelling?
I love being able to see all the different styles that designers come up with because every piece is unique and every person is different and has a completely different vision when it comes to style. It's a lot of fun getting to be their "look" or design so to speak.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
I think my proudest moment was either when I finally got my IMDb page, because I wanted one so badly for so many years.  My first interview on a show called "Live With Gary Garver" because it was the first time I was able to really promote my work and talk about everything, my first FASHION magazine tearsheet because my first ones were more "commercial" rather a fashion editorial OR the first time I'm A Jerk was put in it's first real store and we had an event featuring the introduction of my line being sold for the boutique.  I'm honestly not too sure, I've had so many amazing moments and I've met so many amazing people.  I went to the VMA's three years in a row and I started screaming at Kesha when she was walking the white carpet that I loved her and she waved to me.  That has nothing to do with my career but that's definitely a moment I've VERY proud of I literally died.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
I've done some style shoots within the past month for Chrissy's Knee High Socks, Firmoo Optical, Shasta Style Accessories, Chosungah 22 Makeup Products, and KushyFoot.  I'm getting ready to do a few more collaborations for the website as well.  Other than website collaborations, I walked the runway for Coruscate Innovations for this past Spring/Summer Los Angeles Fashion Week.  I unfortunately didn't have time to walk in the Autumn/Winter Fashion Week which just happened last month due to too much work on my hands! I have several collaborations lined up for the site so there will be a lot of upcoming shoots for it.  I haven't had time to really book any modeling jobs, but I'm doing another editorial for another magazine!  The shoot is this upcoming week.  Meanwhile, I'm getting ready to shoot a short film called "SHE". A short film about the daily struggles of a female who has dominance issues.  I play the lead female role.  My other project is a self written series about a girl named "Emma Evans" written almost ten years ago (hence where I got my stage name) about a young girl getting famous in Hollywood and her downfall.  I will be playing Emma.  My last project is a horror short with a working title, very simple about a haunting and some naive young adults who go camping. I'm trying to finish up a book I started back in 2007, but haven't had much time to work on it! I'm also working on some new clothing designs which will be out before Summer starts :)

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
It really depends on the type of modeling for runway it's a lot of sitting around waiting for hair and makeup and doing a walk through. Usually models stay with the other models they are working with... On a shoot it varies. You're not allowed to take photos or anything while at a professional shoot like a magazine, because the company owns "the look" so you have to wait until it's published to post your "behind the scenes photos". Promotional modeling is a lot of walking around and talking to the guests. Some drink (I don't drink) at the events if there is liquor, because the models get it for free. After you're done passing out the promotional items you're basically allowed to just enjoy the event.  If it's a car show you're usually sitting at a booth all day.  I always like to bring my camera to events and do some work for my website Rosie Says Hello by taking photos, interviewing people and recording my web series RSH TV (previously I'm A Jerk TV) which are 5 minute videos of events and feature interviews on the designers, models or artists that attend.
Picture
Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
My all time favorite photographers are the ones I constantly work with including Jose Castro the photographer who shot most of the photos for this interview as well as most of my photos for my site Rosie Says Hello.  I love his work and the way his photos come out.  They're so amazing.  I also love working with my friend Ashley Abarca.  We used to shoot all the time, but she's been really busy with her personal life.  Thankfully I'm actually working with her for the next shoot I'm doing so it's going to be awesome to see her again. I think it's been over a year since we worked together.  I usually stick to these two photographers and only work with others when I have to or when it's not my shoot (like when I book a job).

Define your personal style.
All over the place.  I literally will wear ANY style simply because I love fashion so much.  My last style post for Chrissy's Knee High Socks had five different looks and I went wild with it.  I shot a retro 60's/70's vibe look, a stoner look, a raver look, a classy/chic look, and a geeky gamer look.  I wanted to style each of them completely different to show off how many styles you can really pull off with a simple pair of socks if you do it right.  I think they all came out great.  I can't decide on a favorite.  My style changes like my mood on a daily basis.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
Quite a few people.  Definitely Kesha.  I actually styled a shoot specifically for her once with multi-colored animal tights, glitter and lots of feather earrings.  Very wild.  I also absolutely love Audrey Kitching.  She's the opposite, much more mellow, very pink and can pull off all the vintage looks.  She loves butterflies.  I'm not sure I have just ONE style muse I pull a lot of inspiration from different places.  I look through magazines and pull inspiration from different editorials.  One of my style guides "How To Style 90's Grunge" featured a pair of gray sweats over some cheetah harlem pants.  They were pulled down past my butt but rolled up to my knees.  Definitely one of my favorite looks to this day.  I saw something similar in a magazine and wanted to try to do something like that. The other look was a long sleeve plaid shirt tied around my waist with glitter tights, denim jean shorts, a leather top and a oversized jean jacket.  I jump from decade to decade and combine the 60's with the 80's or the 50's and the 90's.  I'm actually going to shoot a pin up shoot this week as well.  It will be my first one, I got a polka dot red dress and really want to put a 50's look together.  Everyone and everything from every decade is really my style muse I guess.  I love to observe people and what they wear.

Your favourite designer is… ?
Big designer would be Christian Dior.  I fell in love with one of his collections about 5-6 years ago and have been obsessed with his designs ever since.  I also love Betsey Johnson, because her stuff can be anything from Barbie to Minnie Mouse and it's always colorful.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Vogue

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
I really loved the skirts and dresses that looked like Blazers/Suit Jackets a lot of designers did this including DKNY, Michael Kors, Vera Wang, etc.  I think it was really cute.  I love suits, I have quite a few of them including a purple one.  My favorite dress is the yellow dress that I shot for you guys, I rarely wear it but it's my favorite thing in my entire closet!  I LOVE bright bold things that grab people's attention rather than things that blend in.  I also loved Rosie Assoulin's entire collection.  Again, amazing bright colors that grab attention.  My absolute favorite are the big baggy vintage/retro 70's inspired pants.  High waisted with a lot of buttons.  I would definitely rock them everywhere.  Poofy skirts, loud colors, baggy vintage styles and blazer's.  I love patterns over patterns that don't look like they go with each other.  These are my favorite right now.

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
I hope to have finally finished at least one of my books! I also hope to see I'm A Jerk open it's own landmark store.  I actually want to open a boutique that sells all things that I love not just my designs, so it would appeal to more people.  I hope to get an agent for acting (not modeling) again (I had one for a few years, but stopped acting for a while, and concentrated more on fashion and my website).  My mood changes daily, that's why I jump back and forth between modeling, my clothing line, acting, directing, writing, etc.  One day I'll want to be a photographer, and the next I'll want to direct my own film.  I just hope to continue doing everything I love, but with a bigger foundation of supporters so my work will be more widely known and I will be able to accomplish everything I want to do.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
If here is Los Angeles, then I'd love to be in Chicago, but only for the summer time, after October 15th, it's FAR too cold there and I don't want to be anywhere near it until May/June.  If you mean out of the country, I'd love to visit Europe.  Mainly Paris, London and Ireland because I'm mostly Irish.  I really want to one day visit Turkey to see the original spot of Troy.  I'm obsessed with the Trojan War at the moment.  Lastly, if you mean the Earth, then I'd love to visit Pluto.  Probably be really cold there though...

discover together with us inked and pierced model Michelle Junker, based in the near of Darmstadt, Germany. Get an impression of her work by viewing the shown photos and catch some insides of her work and ideas by reading our interview with her.
Michelle, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?
My name is Michelle and I am 21 years old. I was born in Brandenburg an der Havel and now I’m living near Darmstadt. At the moment I am looking for a further education in the medical field.

What do you love most about modelling?
Most of all I love to play different roles and test myself simply to see how I develop. And then to be able to feel good about my body and to realize, that you have NOT always to fit into the stereotype published in the media. Above that it is nice to get in contact with different people, working with various characters and to improve yourself.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
the highlights in my career are again and again the people I meet and get to work with. The fun and joy at every shoot and to see the results at the end of a session. Moreover, I have already been eligible to
play in small videos for store openings and music videos.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots.

The last shoots were all spontaneously planned ideas, very different. From latex to Indians up to a Skater Girl. There are many projects to come in the near future, in which I will participate and I’m looking forward to that.

What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
I am after all a normal girl, behind the scenes there is still a lot of laughing and joking and a normal way of dealing with each other. Of course, in front of the camera sometimes a serious look hits you, but only for a moment.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
Lately I have done many shootings with a very good photographer, Daniel Benad (Daniel Benad Photography), who meanwhile has become a good friend. He is able to handle my ideas in a right way and there’s always a lot of fun during the sessions. As well I like Martin Wessner (MJW photo), with whom I had my most unusual session, a Latex Shoot.

Define your personal style.

I myself would say, that I don’t have a special or personal style. I love everything, that is more rocking … tattoos, piercings … everything, that is a bit out of line. That’s, how I can  identify myself best with.

Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
My Style Muse is Cat of D. I love her tattoos and that she's just herself. Another great isnpiration for me is Cara Delevingne.

Your favourite designer is… ?
I don’t have a favorite designer. Clothes have to be comfortable and I need to like myself, when I’m wearing them.

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Definitely Vogue

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
No

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years I hope to travel a lot, continue modeling and just live a happy life, so that me, my family and my friends are all fine. That's the most important.

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
if I could be somewhere else, I'd like to go back to Berlin and if that is not supposed to be, then in any case to Bali.
