Looking through the web we discovered a photo of her on the German model community Model-Kartei.de and then had a look at her Instagram page. We were immediately impressed by her appearance in front of the camera and asked her for an interview. Lucky as we are, she agreed and here we go to introduce you German based model Elina Mitrofanova. Elina, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling? I`m 28 years young woman, wife and mother of an amazing daughter in one face. I was born in Latvia in a small town Ogre. I`m Russian and i`m proud of it. Now i live in Germany since 2013. In Riga i have finished a university with specialization in tourism management, but i have never worked in this area. |

What do you love most about modelling?
Modeling is mostly my hobby, my passion, my creativity. I love to be in front of a camera and a camera loves me too :) The most i like when photographer is on "my wave" during a photoshoot, when he/she sees my idea with my eyes and catch the best moment.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
As i said, modeling is mostly my hobby, i didn`t make a career in this sphere. I can not say that i`m a professional model. In old 2005 i finished in Riga model courses, but i didn`t sign contracts with model agencies, because i have never had parameters 90-60-90, but they asked for it. It was too hard for me, because i`m 1.80 m tall with quite wide bone, even i achieve these parameters, i would look like a girl with anorexia. So, this is my story.

Tell us about some of your recent shoots. I have not doing photoshoots for about 1.5 years because of a pregnancy. But i`m still in a damn good form, even better then before:) What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? Sometimes it is very funny, when a team is "yours" and everything goes like planned. If serious, behind the scenes is a hard work of a model, depends on idea. Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? They are not too famous, but i really liked to work with Nadine Haßler and Max Burow, they catch my wave. |

Define your personal style.
My style varies from sneakers with jeans/sport costume to classic high heel shoes with a small black dress. Everything depends on my mood.

Hmm... difficult to answer. I think i prefer more not concrete person, but some of fashion accounts in Internet.

Your favourite designer is… ?
I don`t have my favourite designer, but if you asked me which is my favourite shoe designer, i would answer Christian Louboutin. Red soles are amazing on a woman`s feet, they are very womanly!

Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar? Vogue Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? This winter oversize pullovers. What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years? I`m now in findings what i would like to do with pleasure, but i'm dreaming on travelling around the world, sounds tritely, but true. |
If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
My dream is to visit Peru and some places in China.
