Today we like to introduce you a model, that we follow for quite a while. She already was Streetfashion MagZZine's Cover Model October 2018. Before she appeared on Streetfashion MagZZine's Cover, we discovered some photos of her on modelmanagement.com and then had a look at her Instagram. We really like her attitude and charisma. That's why we like to show you some more photos of her and also provide you some information about up and coming model Lina Brandt, who is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Lina, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling? My name is Lina Brandt, I am 19 years old and born in Sweden. I'm still living in Sweden (just for the moment, I hope). In addition to modeling I work at Ove's snack bar and once I have some spare time, I like to spend it on football. |
What do you love most about modelling?
What I love most is probably the feeling of standing in front of the camera, to be styled in a completely different fashion. I love challenges and to test things I can't handle myself. There is so much, you can develop in this profession, and that is what makes me love it.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Definitely Streetfashion MagZZine. Getting on the October cover 2018 was very big for me. Even that I learned to cooperate better than I did before when I started modeling.
Tell us about some of your recent shoots. My latest photography session was my second session for Streetfashion MagZZine. It really was fun to visit the studio, where i was photographed first in training clothes, then got additional makeup by a stylist and dressed a bit finer. It was a very successful photography session with many nice pictures. Before that, I have had many portraits even with the brand FÄRG. What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? first I usually put out the clothes I took with me and check some different outfits. When I have chosen, I dress up, pictures are taken, then change clothes again to take more pictures. In between a little "retouch" with more makeup, if needed, or get fixed, so the hair lies right. |
Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
Helmut Jeels from Streetfashion MagZZine is the best according to me. Really good collaboration between the pictures. I like to develop myself as a model and test harder poses. He helps me with that with very good ideas. :)

You told us that you wanna go to Milan and you did! Tell us about your visit?
In Milan Ii was living in a model apartment with 7-8 girls from everywhere. I was the only Swedish one in my apartment. Before i went to Milan, I was so tired of Sweden and the cold weather, and some people over here. So i really really want to just go and change my ”everyday life” completely for a while.
So i got the opportunity from my agency here in Gothenburg to go. So there was no talk about the thing, i had already packed the bags.
In Milan I was on castings almost everyday up to 2-3 casting each time. It was so funny. I only got one address and one time in the mail and then I had to try to get myself there, in time. It was hard sometimes, when i got an email with an address, that said it gonna take over an hour to get there. But I was never late to a casting so thumbs up.
We had professional photographs with lots of clothes and heels to choose from. We were getting make up in 1-2 hours, then we were getting some nice pictures. I prefer more natural photo sessions, but it is obviously fun to have makeup and be able to change your appearance according to what you want.
I walked around a lot in the city and got to see incredible buildings. I got first impressed where i lived as an old school place, much graffiti on every wall and buildings. So nice! My next trip will be soon i hope, maybe Paris or Barcelona.
Have you got any job here in Sweden after Milano?
Yes I have. I did a work with Toplady, This time it was underwear for their website with a new collection of underwear, cute nightgowns and bodys.
We will have continued cooperation, which i think is very fun, because i think the team there is very nice and good.
Define your personal style.
My personal style I would say is a croptop, a shorter sweater, jeans or a little more loose comfortable pants. "Street" I would say describes my style right now. But also fashion depending on how I style myself in the future. I want to become a model and be on the catwalk to show off clothes.
Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I myself actually. I choose the clothes myself for photography sessions, but sometimes garments are available at the photographer or photo studio too.
Your favourite designer is… ?
Coco Channel or Marc Jacobs.
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Vogue is my biggest dream.
Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
No actually not at the moment.
What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In 5 years I have been in this industry for a long time, if I can decide. If i can hope or dream a little, I could be the face of the north. Everyone says, that I have a very nordic look and also I am half Danish. I also hope, that during these 5 years there will be numerous different model jobs abroad and a lot of new experiences along the way.
If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
Los Angeles, Paris, Milano, Miami and Las Vegas.
