Looking through the web we discovered a photo of her and then had a look at her Instagram page.

We were immediately impressed by her appearance in front of the camera and asked her for an interview. Lucky as we are, she agreed and here we go to introduce you German based up and coming model Marie.

Marie, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, Where were you born and where do you live now, What is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?

Hi, I’m Marie, born and living in Germany. I am still a student and connect art with psychology. So I express my creativity in modeling, be it about outfits, poses, etc..


What do you love most about modelling?

​What is so great about modeling for me, is, what is behind a photo... the beautiful new encounters with the team, the photographer, or even the makeup artists, but also commonly the thoughts, which you do around the shoot; How you should exactly implement and satisfy the photographer, but also to make yourself happy.

Also I love to perform some fancier poses, that have something more avant-garde, and to play different roles. When I notice my heart is not going for a project, I don't need to accept this!

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?

I'm still a new face in the business and try out myself, what makes it difficult to specify any highlight yet. So far each shooting or casting has something given to me and further helped me to grow and to develop more self confidence. When I think about how much I developed in this regard in the last 2 years, I can be somewhat proud, but there is still a long way ahead of me.

​Tell us about some of your recent shoots.

My last shoots were great, because I had the feeling to be able to show myself in a way, that I like to have more often. Whether now with photographer Viktor Wall, whose expectations have adapted very well to my own or with photographer Mir Saad, who forced me to show my more edgy side and is full of ideas. It's just totally interesting to experience myself how I can change in front of the camera. I'm still me, but joy of experimenting grabs me and I'm permanent testing out various poses, with which I feel totally comfortable, but even surprise and bring fun to myself! Somehow I then get in a flow and get the feeling "Yes Marie, this is right up your alley, here you are right!" It's probably because  I dream to establish myself in this track of model profession ever since I was a little girl and trained my skills in walking, posing and showing various facial expressions. But, as said, I am just starting and will see, what is waiting for me to come, because I up to now organize all myself. I thereby get discovered by other photographers and am going to contact them directly since I don't have an agency yet.

 

​What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?

Yes, behind the scenes is a lot of fun, but also organizational needs I would say, since you have to think longer about it than the actual shot takes.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?

I have already mentioned, which photographers I liked to work with, but I am sure that there will be some more inspiring ones. My current wish is to work with Kevin Jochmann (JK-Photography), Christoph Gellert (Christoph Gellert-Photography) or Ralf Michalak (ralfmichalak.photography), they are doing a great job! Very inspiring!

​Define your personal style.

My own style is very experimental I would say. Rather modern, often elegant but also sweet or edgy. It's changing a lot because I just enjoy discovering new styles from a mix of trend and self-interest
 ​

Your favorite designer is ...?

I don't have a favorite designer to be honest. I'm not very fond of fashion, but I look more at the garment than where it came from. So H & M is simply one of my favorite stores, because it's the almost priceless fashion of great designers put into their own brand and made affordable, what suits my student purse and my wish to change clothes very much, haha. But Dolce & Gabbana is doing some cool stuff, I have to say.


Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?

Both cool, but Vogue wins because it's just Vogue! Even Madonna knew what she's singing about. The name has just established itself in my head, so that as soon as I hear it, my heart beats a few bars faster! Great modern and forward-looking posts. I'm just a fan. Vogue shows the actual trends.

Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?

A designer piece, which gives me butterflies, is one of Berta's enchanting dresses. These go in the direction of a wedding dress, but are just so playful, delicate and elfin, that I fell in love immediately!

What do you hope to do in the next 5 years?
​
Hopefully I'll be gaining experience on the catwalk over the next 5 years and working with many other great photographers. But also just to practice my profession, I just work about in my studies and have many valuable encounters with other people also there.
 

If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?

Again difficult to answer, because I want to travel to so many places. Two of them, which are just on top of my list, would be Bora Bora and L.A., that would be mega! I hope that I get to know a lot of the world.
