What do you love most about modelling?
I love a lot about modelling, but most definitely, that you meet so many different, creative, inspirational and crazy people, and that I can label some of them as my friends. Through modelling, I have learned a lot, such as accepting and loving myself for who I am. That was not always easy being 186cm tall.

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? I do not want to decide or define which photographer I like working with the most. Everyone has their own style and personality, which makes it impossible for me to decide with whom I prefer to work. |
Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
My last shoot was for a designer from Milan. I had the honor to be the model for their pictures of this year's haute couture collection for the Milan fashion week. What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? As a model there are a lot of different things happening behind the scenes. I have by far not only had positive experiences, but I think that no job really always is 100% positive. Some people treat one poor and disrespectful others worry about one like a second mother. You never know what to expect next. But that's what makes it exciting and lets you grow inside. |
Define your personal style. My own style is very elegant. I like to dress well and despite my size I love to wear high heels. Rather often I get to hear that I'm overdressed, especially in this little town where I live. But that does not bother me. Who would you say is your 'style muse'? My style muse is definitely Gisele Bündchen. I just love her appearance and her looks. Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar? Definitely Vogue. |
What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years I hope to have successfully completed my studies and have been able to contribute to dementia research. I think my goals are different than those of many models. I never wanted to be a full-time model. Of course, I hope that I can continue to work as a part-time model for the next 5 years and get to know many more great people. My main focus, however, is to continue to work on the subject of dementia, hopefully contributing to the healing of this terrible disease at some point. If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go? If I could, I would definitely head south to go on vacation right now. I'm not ready for the cold season. |
Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? Just now for the fall I have discovered a great double fabric coat from Prada, with a silver buckle as a belt. |
