you find her on our current cover August 2016 ... young and upcoming model Luna Taylor, based in Texas, United States. She's the girl next door, discovered by our Texas photographer Tim Bear. Here you see her performing in front of the camera. Take a look at her photos and learn a bit more about this beautiful young model in our interview with her. |
My name is Morgan Pederson but I feel more comfortable being called Luna Taylor as I have thought recently about changing my name. I'm currently 19 years old and I was born in Hilton Head, South Carolina. As of now I'm currently residing in Dallas, Texas.
I do not currently have a laid out profession because I have not yet felt my hearts content in any particular profession besides modeling.
What I love most about modeling is the sense of freedom. The fact I can be myself in front of the camera without any limitations keeps me loving and coming back for more.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far? The highlight of my career so far has probably been the people I've gotten to meet. The newer models I've gotten to help and befriend, and the happiness that has engulfed me is beyond amazing. What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? Behind the scenes as a model it is just a family when the camera isn't going, we are cracking jokes, making memories and catching some sneak peaks of the photos before they're posted. Behind the scenes it's an overall good time. |
Some of my recent shoots have been very exhilarating, such as the one recently with the Photographer Tim Bear , we took a vacation to Florida, of course I was excited to go there since I have never been, but considering I've had a phobia of the ocean since I was little it was very scary for me, but the sight of the beaches were like a dream, ever since I have said I would move to Florida in a heart beat.
Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? The photographer I love working with the most is Tim Bear. He immediately made me feel at home, he has helped me more than anyone else with my career and has expanded it so much, I am where I am today because of him. You know some Photographers stay as Photographers but Tim has become family to me. Define your personal style. My style is very simple, I love to be comfortable. Its a very laid back, fun, easy kind of style, with a little edge. |
My favorite designer is LCW as I have modeled some of her clothing recently and fell in love with her work. Her work speaks her as a person.. it's very beautiful and exquisite.
Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
As my style muse, I wouldn't really say I had one.
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
I love Vogue because of the uniqueness between all the models and the different clothing, nothing is ever the same and I think that's what drew me to like Vogue.
Currently no designer piece I'm crushing on.
What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years I hope that my modeling will take impact on people's lives.. my entire life I have hoped to change the world.. or make some kind of impact. With my words, my life story, anything, but in the next 5 years I hope I can say I have made a change.
If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go?
I WOULD GO TO THE BAHAMAS. When I was little I was on a cruise ship and we sailed to the Bahamas and I fell so deeply in love with the water as well as the surrounding I was engulfed in. The animal life is beautiful, the people , the culture.. I felt so free. If I could be anywhere I'd be back swimming with dolphins and snorkeling by the coral reefs.
