Shante, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. (How old are you, where were you born and where do you live now, what is your profession and do you have other besides modeling?)
My model age is 23… ;-) My hometown is Orlando, FL and I am currently residing in Jacksonville, FL. Besides modeling and acting, I plan events and activities for senior citizens to motivate seniors to continue living life beyond retirement.
What do you love most about modelling?
The connections I make with others, within the industry, on all levels of experience.

What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Thus far, the highlight of my career may not mean much to many but, to me it means EVERYTHING – which was receiving a notification that Wilhelmina Models Miami “liked” a recent photo I’ve posted on social media – their small gesture demonstrated that top agencies are observing/noticing me.
Tell us about some of your recent shoots.
I’ve recently shot for the international fashion label, Alexandra Ni, and a commercial shoot for Louisiana-based, Lost Treasures Clothing.
What really goes on behind the scenes as a model?
Long hours of preparation… it takes numerous hours to prepare for only 30 minutes to an hour or less of shoot time/show time (runway).

Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with?
In order for me to answer this question, I must re-phrase the question: What photographer do I long to work with? Just give me a 15-minute shoot with Nigel Barker and I will be satisfied.
Define your personal style?
Casual-chic
Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
My ‘style muse’ is also my favorite iconic, fashion designer, Gabrielle Bonheur (Coco Chanel).
Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar?
Definitely, Vogue!
Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now?
The “Rain Dress” which is a simple black and white peppered dress with two distinct cutouts from, international fashion label, Alexandra Ni.
What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years?
Walking the runway or featured in commercials for Victoria’s Secret and acting in major films.
