Over a couple weeks, we put together a brief fashion shoot to decide on wardrobe. Once the wardrobe was worked out a location was needed. Well this time of the year in SW Florida, it is not only hot, but humid and can rain at a moments notice. With this in mind I asked the owner if we could use his garage. He was happy to oblige. So now a location was in place. Next thing was time. We decided to shoot at noon time. This time frame was convenient for all. Luck for us the day was overcast with rain threatening clouds above. Funny that helped a bit in limiting the temperature to 90, yet the humidity made up for the lack of sun. Knowing the way things happen in the summer here we decided that the model would do curls which when we started to shoot. Wardrobe started with jacket, jeans, etc. that were selected first because with the humidity the curls would no doubt fall out in a short time and the heat would be more bearable if we removed clothing layers as we went on. After positioning the Harley, setting up the background and lights, we began to shoot. We shot 3 different looks over a course of 2 hours. For the most part the day went off without a hitch. Final results yeilded numerous looks for all to have. All in all it was a fun and enjoyable afternoon something you always want to achieve when working with others when doing TFP work

Fashion is constantly coming back and it isn’t anything unusual that the era of pin-up girls is being revived once more. The pin-up images could be cut out of newspapers or magazines as well as on a postcard or lithograph. Often such pictures appear on wall or desk calendars. Starting from the mid 20th century posters of pin-ups were mass-produced and became popular. Minimally, cute and at the same time lusciously dressed, these girls radiate sexiness as well as loveliness.

Mia, can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
My name is Mia and I live in Switzerland. I love writing and for more than ten years, I have been modeling which had me develop my love for fashion and styling. In my blog, I focus on fashion, children, and lifestyle. I share stories about things I love and that impact my life. Usually, stories revolve around fashion, street style, modeling, travel, fitness, beauty, and children. These stories from my everyday life as a model, mom, and blogger make up that special mix of my articles.

Describe how did you first get into blogging? What inspired you to start your blog?
For a few years now, I have been following different bloggers and, as I have mentioned earlier, I have a passion for both fashion and writing. This had me thinking about starting my own blog and last year, I finally decided to take the plunge and start my own blog. In my model jobs, I do not have a say in anything, so it was important to me to create something myself outside of my modeling career. I wanted the focus to be on my ideas and my taste in fashion and my blog allows me to fully indulge in my own creativity.

Can you tell me about few sources from where you get products for review on your site?
I mainly get the clothes from my closet as I have enough to cover all kinds of different topics and stories. Occasionally, I also work with brands that I really like and that suit my style. When corporating with brands it is important to me to not just write random posts but carefully choose who I work with and, most importantly, if I can fully identify myself with the brand.

Can you name some of your favourite bloggers and explain why they are your favourites?
There are many different bloggers who I follow and who inspire me, but in the end, I do my own thing. Most of the other bloggers are much younger that I am and do not have a child. My life is different now and that is what makes my stories unique. Here are some names of bloggers I follow: Kristina Bazan, Michèle Krüsi, Nina Schwichtenberg, Caro Daur and many others.

What would you say that is the biggest challenge about fashion blogging?
There are thousands of bloggers hence it is extremely difficult to gain and increase awareness for your own blog. I enjoy blogging and that is what is most important for me. I do what I like and what I like to talk about on my blog. My main goal is not to make a profit but the fun I have working on my blog. This is of utmost importance for me and I find you can tell the blogger's motivation by the looks of their blog.

How would you describe your personal style and is there a person who is a fashion inspiration to you?
As mentioned earlier, I do not have a particular person whose style I admire and want to imitate. Individuality is very important to me. In general, I would describe my style as sporty with a touch of rock and roll and Indians' feeling. Hence, I especially like leather jackets, biker boots, fringes and hair accessories. Depending on my mood, I also like to dress more elegantly or edgy. Fashion's diversity is really interesting and I make use of that diversity every day.
 
What would you say that is the greatest satisfaction of being a fashion blogger? (Invitations to fashion events, interaction with people, gifts, etc.)
The most beautiful thing about blogging is receiving sincere compliments from readers and subscribers. In addition, I am a very interactive person who loves to get in contact with other people. Hence, all these new contacts are a great enrichment for me. Every person has a new story and different ideas. Getting to know those people and learning about their ideas, absolutely fascinates me.

With the Pulse Nightclub Orlando Benefit we announced the first event of Streetfashion MagZZine's fashion editor Briana deShields in July 2016. Meanwhile Briana finished succesfully the 4th fashion event in St.Pete's Platformz Loungs, and her company Truluv Media and the Florida Central Creative Society have grown to become one of the largest artist-run organizations as well as one of the most highly anticipated events within the Florida and Tampa Bay communities. With a cast of over 150 creatives each event they provide an opportunity for creatives and models to showcase their artistic talents and for ambitious leaders to take action, all while functioning as a symbol for unity and networking through support. Truluv Media and the Central Florida Creatives strive to give back to the community through charity and creativity.

Now Briana is entering the 5th fashion event. Truluv Media and the Florida Central Creative Society are hosting a fashion show January 22nd at Haven Orlando starting 6 pm!
