After two weeks vacation from photo shooting, the camera of photographer Egon Hye penetrated to get to work again. So Egon asked Zoe Cecilie Vendel Vogelius, a model he has worked with a lot of times, about a summer shoot. |
Egon's idea was a picture in the beautiful ditch with flowers, but Zoe had just another idea with some Street Fashion Photos in her neighbor City Silkeborg, a beautiful city in Jutland, the western part of Denmark. Zoe knew a location, where she always had wanted to get pictures taken. So Zoe sent some inspirational images to Egon and the day after their agreement was in place.
Zoe is 18 years old, studying at the High School in Silkeborg and a very talented model. Egon loves working with her. She's always well prepared and very focused, when they are shooting, something any photographer only can love. Egon loves working in backlight, so they agreed to have the shooting late in the day to catch the “long” light. They needed about one and a half hour for the shoot. Upfront the Shoot Egon had printed some of the inspirational images, he had got from Zoe before. So they took the same poses from their inspiration material. |
Technically they were a little challenged, since there actually was a lot of traffic at the location. So they had to interrupt several times and wait to be able to work again.
The equipment, Egon worked with, was a Nikon D810 with a Nikon [email protected] VR II mm lens and an external Nikon SB-910 Flash as remote. He always works with his camera and flash in manual mode and settings are often from his own feeling. As you can see on the photos, Egon has a quite good feeling for light. He has experience out of more than 40 years of photographing and works almost with backlight in his pictures. He loves playing with the light, the shadows and compose the background. For some picture he let the sun come into his lens to get these light leak effects. We love it.
