It was a total experiment

Today we like to introduce you photographer Roberto Duran, who captured our cover photo of August 2015. Roberto, based in Costa Rica, just started shooting models a year ago along with his girlfriend. It was a total experiment. Trying to find their shooting style, they went from conceptual images to something more fashion, trying to find things that they like, and things that don’t. Finally this year they end up with some really natural indie fashion looks, that at the moment is what they really enjoy.

Roberto is a Pentax shooter.. strange in a world full of Canon/Nikon shooters, you might wonder why Pentax? Well.. Roberto thinks, that it just goes with his personality and what he likes. He doesn’t feel comfortable doing/using the same as other people. He likes to give something different to his stuff and this not only goes with photography matters, but also with his other daily things.. he drives a French car.. listens to deep house and lately indie folk.. why he’s doing it, he doesn’t know.. its just him and the way, he likes to be.

Roberto tries to show his models as pretty as he can, but without faking it. So he loves, when models natural beauty shows up easy. He hates posing, feels really uncomfortable making his models to pose. It just doesn’t go with his shooting style. Roberto just want his models to show as they are, move around, enjoy the shooting and be simple without forcing the shoots.
