Photographer Adelfredo Mendoza just started being serious in the world of digital photography during the last 2 years, using a canon 600D and enjoying it as hobby. He is taking pictures of couples, engagements, friends and events. Adel is an artist and loves taking photographs. He joined some photography community to learn and practice more about photography technique. So his technical skills and artistic ideas help him to improve his photography skills.

Now, Adel is specializing himself in fashion and portrait photography.  He also loves taking pictures of landscapes, cityscapes at night, in black and white and abstract.

He’s been motivated by other photographers, which also challenge him in a way, that he looks at their pictures and asks himself “why not, I can do better”. Adel likes to post his work in a facebook group, on Flickr and 500px to get some feedback or constructive criticism to improve his photography. He is so thankful, that most of his works get a good feedback by the pro photographers. That really motivates him.

Adel loves to take photos outdoor or on location with a mix of flashes/strobes and ambient  light.  He  shoots  in  manual  mode  and
Picture
raw format, as it is more flexible for his post processing work flow. As post processing software he uses Lightroom and Photoshop and NIK software. Most of the time now he uses the Nik software for his tone contrast and Vintage Film Look effects.

In the next few months Adel hopes to come much more into the photography for portraits, fashion and modeling business, but also he plans to be involved into wedding photography.

He is able to shoot at any location as long as it is available, accessible and there are no restrictions, especially outdoor, Adel loves to take portrait shoots in urban city areas, at the beach and in abandoned places.

In the 1st week of July he will attend a workshop called Off Camera LIGHTING (Indoor and Outdoor). This will help him with his first implied nude photography, which is tentative the next project scheduled on mid of July 2015.

The gear of Adel was a Canon 600D with 70-200mm F4L. He was using it for 2 years, but then decided to switch to a SONY camera, the Sony mirror-less A6000 with a E50mm f1.8, Samyang 85mmf1.4 (manual lens) and he loves it. It is really great to use the new equipment and since then he won a 1st prize of Sony Store Singapore Photography Contest. He currently decided to purchase the Sony mirror-less Full Frame Camera, the SONY A7 and he now is really happy with his decision for the new equipment.

Most of the recent shoots were taken by this SONY A7+SAMYANG 85mmF1.4 with an off-camera flash YN568ExII plus a Firefly Foldable Beauty dish and off course behind the camera was him, Adelfredo Mendoza

Ralph, the photographer in Loki Photography, has always liked taking pictures. He was given his first camera, when he was a little boy aged 10. It was a point & shoot one, which used traditional analog film. Unfortunately, because getting those developed, was crazy expensive for a 10-year-old, he took most of his 'pictures' without an actual film in the camera, pretending, just for fun.

Then, later, Ralph bought his first ever digital camera, a Canon PowerShot G2. What a brick. Despite  its  limitations,  he  loved  being  able  to
take more pictures and experimenting. In 2010, he got himself a Canon 500D and took his first real steps into photography, which went beyond taking simple snapshots.

Why always Canon? No reason, really, Ralph just feels comfortable with how they feel in his hands, their button layout and menu structures. After a couple of studio shoots, where he tried to learn the basics, he attempted taking his first few pictures outside and found it to be challenging, but also a lot of fun. By that time Ralph had hit his 500D’s limits and wanted something beefier, that could handle low light situations, so he moved up to a 5D MK II and his first L lens, the amazing Canon EF 24-70mm 1:2.8L USM. And what a a difference that made in  terms  of  ergonomics  and  possibilities!  The
Picture
only thing that he still had issues with, was its dead-slow AF system. So when the 5d MKIII came out, Ralph bit the bullet. By that time he had acquired a few more L lenses, like the Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4L IS USM and eventually also got the awesome Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM. His latest lens is the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, and Ralph believes that’s enough…for now.

Picture
Primarily he loves taking pictures of women in fancy dress, cosplayers or all kinds of costumes or dresses. Ralph likes combining special outfits with locations, you would probably not expect them in. He gets in touch with his models online in forums or on photography sites, but also quite a lot of friends have joined him in his hobby and posed for him. Ralph also gets requests and organise shoots over Facebook and other sites, which he always take as a compliment, especially if he doesn’t know the person at all.
Since he lives in Luxembourg, a tiny multicultural country, he’s getting to shoot lots of women with their roots in lots of different countries.
Picture
Ralph believes, that communication is important in a shoot and he never makes anyone do something or wear an outfit, they do not feel 100% comfortable with. That always results in a very relaxed atmosphere and a fun few hours of shooting. Although he always works with a contract, he double and triple checks his permission to publish each and every picture with his model as he would never post a picture, that would make her feel uncomfortable sharing it with others. That is a question of respect and trust, both ingredients for a successful shoot, too.

It is six years ago, that photographer Jean-Noel Kegel started with photography. Mainly he is working in urban exploration with HDR process, because in his opinion lost places and delapidated buildings have a very interesting atmosphere and you can create esthetic photos in and with it. For the urbex photography Jean-Noel as equipment principally uses a Nikon D800E with the Nikon 14-24 lens.

The other theme, Jean-Noel is working with in photography, is shooting models. Most he loves the combination or let us better say the contrast of delapidated buildings and the beauty of women. For these shoots he is armed with a Nikon D810 with Nikon 85 1.4G lens and a D800E with Nikon AF-S 24-70 2.8 lens. Jean-Noel realizes his shoots always with flashes.

Take a look at his amazing photos here and on his homepage.

Photographer Alphone Tea bought his first DSLR camera, like many other photography enthusiasts, after he became a father. But then he found, that family photos alone could not satisfy his passion and began exploring other genres of photography as for example underwater photography, what he feels the challenge lies in both, posing and focusing. Shooting underwater baby photos will be his next frontier.

Alphone currently likes shooting portraits and fashion, because he enjoys the challenge of catching his subjects at their best. Whether it is for a wedding shoot or for lingerie, according to Alphone the behind-the-scene planning for a photo shoot can take between 1-3 months of logistical preparation work. From getting the right model, contacting makeup artist to renting the place for the shoot, in which the location of his shoots mostly depend on the clothes.

The most challenging task for Alphone is shooting newborns. Sometimes he has to spend a whole day with the parents, waiting for the perfect moment when the baby smiles or sleeps.

Last year he upgraded from his Canon EOS 60D,  which  Alphone  has  been  using  for  the  last  three

years to a Canon EOS 6D. In addition Alphone arms himself with his favourite lenses EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and EF24mm f/1.4L II USM for all his photo shoots, along with his two Speedlite 580EX II flash lights. To him, his most useful lens is the EF24mm f/1.4L II USM, which he uses mostly for indoor and lowlight photo shoots without a flash.

Alphone believes, that for a photo shoot to go well, good communication with all parties involved is most important.

She's based in Potsdam near the German capital Berlin.

Photographer Annie Fischinger started with photography in 2008, when she bought her first DSLR camera for a trip to Japan. From that moment on everything went fast and became very intense, because Annie always has been interested in people photography in the artistic field as for example cosplay.

She started with studio photography. Often Annie could rent the studios of friends, who also are photographers and she could assist there too.

Then she switched to outdoor photography and is doing this until today, because this is most fun for her and that’s, what is most important  fro Annie in photography. She’s not a professional photographer, so photography is only her hobby.

Picture
Annie likes it, if her models be happy about their photos and found themselves pretty. That’s, what makes Annie happy too. She likes experimenting with different scenes, to implement nature in her photos and almost loves charming, feminine images.

Photographers, she admires, are for example Lisa Holloway and Kristian Schuller. Annie shoots generally almost exclusively with available light, because she likes it better. Every now and then she also works with continuous light and has gradually replaced her studio flash units through continuous light units.
