he considers himself "Impressionist"

Sergio Isgleas studied from 1984 on at EDAC (School of Cinematographic Art of Avellaneda).

In the 90`s he performed in various film production companies as a cameraman or in other technical positions, making commercials for many countries around the world.

After several years, in 1996, Sergio started to work independently, making some commercial spots for Bardhall, Honda, Wall Mart, Pirelli and others. From that moment he started doing also some tv stuff like ‚Italians around the world’ for RAI and Fashion TV for three years.

In 2005 he started working on what will be his first feature film "The Invisibles". That allowed him to return to his first love, "photography". And this now has become his main activity.

About his work Sergio considers himself "Impressionist", especially in terms of the relationship with the locations. He always allows the place to give him sensations, impressions. But before this he thinks about what he wants to do and what he want to "find".

„Photography is something that you find, more than something that you make plans for it“. Sergio had a teacher, when he was studying cinema, who said "the prior and thorough pacification gives you the chance to capture situations that occur unexpectedly". Sergio remembers and add: „It let us to be alert to the possibilities, to be bound only to the preconceived thing is a mistake for me.

I always check the place, that I am going to work and I think, what I will do, and I always find something that i didn’t expect. The day of the shooting you act, you do not think. And that will be noticed in our work.“

„The same happens with the models“ so Sergio, „you can pretend some attitude but also it is a journey of two people. We must let the models give us the best that they have, even if it is something different from what we expected.

Sergio closed with the words „Before, during and after, I'm a perfectionist damn!!“
