The photo was taken by photographer Tommaso Ciriolo, who was born in Florence in 1986 and today is living in Pistoia. At the age of 20 he began to get an interest in the beautiful world of photography. Starting with Macro photography he moved on to landscapes and nature to finally expose fashion photography and portraits, what is his true passion, as we can see in this photo.
The shooting was born with an idea of Tommaso and his friend, fashion designer Carlotta Comparini. So they merged their passions to highlight Carlotta’s beautiful creations, of which she says: „My dresses are a union of elegance and sensuality with transparencies, laces and macramè“. Tommaso likes Carlotta’s dresses very much. The same we do. In case of this photo Carlotta is not only the designer, but also one of the models. She’s the one on the right side of the photo. Besides her we can see her model friend Amanda Garabini, also dressed with a design of Carlotta.
The location used is the outside area of the new Opera House in Florence, inaugurated on December 21st 2011, which in 2014 received the award for the best work of architecture built in Italy over the past 5 years. It has become the destination of many photographers, cause it is the perfect location for elegance and modernity.
Tommaso’s equipment for the shoot was a Canon EOS 1DX with a Canon EF 85 1.2 II lens and for the lighting an Elinchrom Ranger Quadra with 44cm beauty dish combined with available light. Makeup and hairstyle were done by the models themselves.
„The afternoon was long and demanding“ so Tommaso „ especially for the difficulty to wear gorgeous clothes and make the best of it. I am very satisfied with the result, although as my nature to believe you can get better!!“ Don’t worry about, Tommaso, it’s a fascinating fashion photo. Congrats from us to all participants!!
