"You wouldn't think Victoria is very new to modelling! She has a terrific look...and that hair!!!" are the words of photographer John Jobling of Voodoo Fashion Photography about his model Victoria Louise Holland.

The shoot came about following a day when John had completed a photoshoot with another model and bumped into a friend, who was just starting to shoot Victoria, who John didn’t know.  When he saw the results of that shoot John knew, he wanted to work with her.

So they decided on a varied clothing location shoot around an area of Newcastle Upon Tyne known as the Ouseburn. 'Victoria is an amateur model with only a limited number of shoots under her belt. However she has a great look about her with great eyes and that wonderful hair.' so John

The shot in question was on a wooden bridge over a small tidal waterway.  The Victorian buildings behind, John knew, would make a pleasing backdrop.  He used a NikonD800 Tamron 24-70mm Zoom  1/320sec f4.5 ISO100 and blurred the background a little and ran of some shots. If he recall - post editing, John added a gradient colour filter and added a little lens flare in PS to achieve that warm look.

our 'picture of the day' is part of a series, made for a fashion design work by an amazing team around photographer Moisés Bautista with creative directors Andrés Hernández, Getzabel Hernández and Itzayana Soto, hairstylist Camila Rosas, make up artist Yazmín Hernández and the all over styling of Daniel Estreyer. The models in this shoot are Natalia Villalobos and Paola Encinas.

most amazing in our 'pic of the day' is, that beautiful model Sarah, who you can see in the picture, is also the photographer. This self-portrait was taken in front of a forest, created under a cloudy sky. Sarah used her Canon 1100D with Canon 50mm f1.8 lens, the Hama Star 63 166-3D and the remote release Pentax K-7, K-XMain. Sarah associates this photo with curiosity and passion, also towards nature.

Photographer Wolfgang Dengler and model Laura Altendorfer arranged to meet for a Streetfashion set in Landshut's industrial area.

Started in the late afternoon until early evening they moved through the streets and besides other locations found the graffiti wall, which provided the background for this photo. The shot was taken with
a Nikon D800 in combination with a Tamron lens SP 70-200 VC plus SB910; The light setup was minimal - a shoe mount flash with small softbox to avoid shadows under the eyes and nose - plus daylight.

Chrissy

This shotof Vaughan Imageworks was captured in a mountain meadow, at about 6000 ft., just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. Although the weather was lovely when photographer and model left for the shoot, by the time they arrived at the chosen location, the skies had darkened - they were beset by very cold, gale force winds and sleet. Both thought of scrapping the whole thing and going home. But then the model, Chrissy, who is not one to give up easily, thought they might as well try a few shots. So they found a bit of shelter from the elements on the leeward side of the mountain, and chanced upon a small berm, which featured gorgeous yellow wildflowers. Finally they snapped a few frames as the sun slid behind the distant mountains, back-lighting Chrissy's wonderful hair.

photographer Vicente Gonzalez loves realizing this kind of portraits with his mi 70-200, at 200mm and even with a F11 opening. Like in this case it achieves a very nice bokeh. Model Melina Nieves is able to give him the perfect expression for the shoot. In the prostprocessing Vicente only needed a "cross processing" in PS, driving the curves in order to give it the tone and contrast he needed.

Brazilian photographer Adriano Bonfim is a lover of candid photos of female models like beautiful model Kethelen. In our 'picture of the day' he sought to work with the sensuality of the body of perspective and an intimidating look to a common and ubiquitous citizen in a VW Kombi, which is a widely used vehicle for passenger transport in the region.

The photo was taken with a Nikon D600, Nikon 24-70 lens, f / 4.5, 1/125, ISO 110 and flash off. The photo location is the headquarter of the Jornal Cinform in Aracaju, Sergipe State, Brazil.

what you can see on our 'picture of the day', is a street performance by Was XL / Laundry XL, six women, who roam the city of Leeuwarden at the Fries straatfestival 2014 and transform it into a world of white laundry. The ladies were captured by photographer Johan Hiemstra, who made a total of 47 pictures of this amazing performance. You can see them all on Johan's Flickr-Album.

The idea behind this picture of amateur photographer Esteban Lewis was to take a set of pictures on a railroad with low ambient light. The model is one of his friends and they wanted to make an album with photos on location. She's not a professional model, but as Esteban likes to take pictures.

The picture was taken
with a Nikon D7100 Tamron 24-70 46mm f/2.8 1/125 ISO 1600, Nikon SB700 with an 43" umbrella from the side and a reflector. The location is an old railroad near a forest in a place called Pinares in Costa Rica.

... model Dorota Szaniawska is standing in front of a column, tossing her leather jacket over the shoulder.

The photo was taken by photographer Jacek Grabowski in an old post-industrial building.

For a soft lighting Jacek used a SB700 through umbrella in the right front and a SB600 through umbrella in the left rear, triggered by a yn603.
