elegant biker girl

We discovered one of his photos in Streetfashion MagZZine's Flickr group and asked photographer Pepe Garcia Vega to share it with us here in the magazine. He provided us a series of 4 photos out of the session with model Victoria.

The pictures were made in a small studio, that Pepe has in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The bike, it's a Yamaha YZF-R1, is also owned by Pepe. He wanted to photograph the bike with a model, but liked to do it in the studio since this kind of photos are usually seen outside and he wanted to do something different. For the shoot he chose model Victoria, because she is a very elegant model in posing and she transmits a lot. "I did not want to do the typical biker girl or sexy calendar photos" so Pepe.

Picture
The equipment, Pepe used, was a Nikon D7000 with the sigma 17-50mm f / 2.8 EXlens  and the Nikon D610 with the Nikon 50mm f1.8 G lens. He usually uses the Nikon 85mm 1.8 lens, especially outside the studio, but the studio is a reduced size so he was not able to use it. For lighting he took 2 Godox 400 studio flashes.

Thank you Pepe and Victoria for giving us the opportunity to share these great photos here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

One year ago we met him the first time. Photographer Ivan Niznicki is always looking for new places, backgrounds and quality bokeh. He is a lover of natural light and shadows, always cathing the right part of the day for a certain place. He is a big fan of portraits made on window light and reflective surfaces.

In his bag he always has two speedlights. Most often on his camera body is the Nikon 85mm 1.8g lens. "I adore that peace of glass" so Ivan.

The current photo shows model Sara Stevanović, of whom Ivan is taking pictures for several years, even when she was a little girl.
The photo was taken in an old street near the railway station in Zajecar, Serbia.

Thank you Ivan for giving us the opportunity to share this great black and white picture here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

golden autumn

We follow his work quite a while and already have shown some of his photos. So here is another excellent picture of photographer Wolfgang Dengler showing us an autumn impression and a bright smile of beautiful Italian model Alessandra. We asked Wolfgang to tell us a bit about the photo and here comes his little story:

"My first contact with Alessandra was via Model-Kartei. She sent me a brief message that she will be in the Munich-area soon and that she was looking for photographers to working together. After a look at her sedcard I decided to write back. Her sedcard was quite interesting – but there weren’t any streetphotos on it and I was wondering, if she would be interested in doing “Street”. But she was and so we decided to having a session on Sunday, 16th of October.  The weather of the week before was really awful. Cold, foggy and with lots of rain – not much to do with the “golden autumn in October”. The chance to have our meeting with that weather conditions was less than 10%.

In the evening of the Saturday we had a little chat – she came directly from Italy and I told her the weather forecast for Sunday. Not the best weather, mostly cloudy but only an 8% probability of rain. And so we decided to do the session. Alessandra visited me in Landshut in the early morning (8 am) and we started our tour at the central station towards the old town of Landshut. In the beginning the weather wasn’t really good (weather forecast hadn’t changed), but we had some stains of blue sky between the clouds… really promising. And then the weather really got great. The fog went away and so the clouds did. At 10 am we had the best weather conditions. Blue sky, lots of sun and really warm. Sun in combination with golden leaves is really great.

What a luck, that we were at this time at one of the city gardens of Landshut. Old trees, lots of green grass and lots of colored leaves on the trees. I asked Alessandra to take a seat at the parapet of the music pavilion in that garden. The sun was shining through the leaves and there was a small spot of sun on her hands. Her face wasn’t in the sun, so I hadn’t issues with shadows in her face. So we got this overall well illuminated phote with Alessandra, smiling and sitting relaxed at the parapet with the bright leaves in the background.

I used only small technics: My Nikon D800 and the Tamron SP 70-200 VC at 140mm focal length and aperture f2.8. No additional light or “light-helpers”. The Tamron lens produces sometimes (e.g. in this case) a kind of “swirling” bokeh like the Helios 40-2. Some will like it – others won’t."

Thank you so much Wolfgang for sharing this beautiful photo with us here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

hand & heart fashion in an exceptional location

Asking ourselves in the beginning, what kind of location it is in this fascinating photo, we decided to ask Morrocan photographer Amine Fassi.

Amine explained to us, that he had to do a shooting for a designer from Marrakech. He went there and designer Nesryne El Maskoune
showed him a lot of places, some of them traditional, but nothing, that  motivated him. Then she thought about a place, where to find an abandonned boat in the middle of an olive grove. When Amine has seen the boat, it was out of question to do the shooting inside of this boat.
Picture

The boat was very dirty and full of stinking water. According to Amine it was "smelling like a dead dog". In addition cause of the aluminium hull of the boat there was a terrible heat inside. So they were forced to keep the balance on the iron bars. "It's not the best way to focus on composition, poses etc. and also not easy for the model to take the balance and make a natural pose. That was a great challenge" so Amine. "After the first part of the shoot model Cindel Anastasia got tired and had numerous bruises. But she didn't want to stop and after an hour's rest we continued. She never gives up".

The shooting Amine did only with the available light of the hull windows and in full manual.

We like to thank Amine Fassi for leaving us these fascinating and excellent photos to share it with you here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

Ella realmente transmite mucho!

Some days ago we discovered a beautiful photo in our Flickr group and immediately asked photographer Denis Terrazas of Denis TV - denartphoto to share it with us in Streetfashion MagZZine. Denis is from Granada (Andalusia, Spain), but usually travel continuously arround Spain and sometimes other locations in Europe.

Thank you so much Denis for giving us the opportunity to showcase not only one, but several photos out of this session with model Patricia Serrano Sanchez, who comes from Alicante and according to Denis has something special in her eyes: "She can touch your heart ... in Spanish: Ella realmente transmite mucho!"
Picture

The idea of this session was very simple, so Denis: Go for the marina of Alicante (Valencia - Spain) at the last minutes of the day and first of the nigth to play with the light of the city. The look of the model for that was supposed to be simply urban with a little touch of "casually sexy".

Denis used his Nikon D300 convied with a Sigma 18-50 f2.8 EX DG, the classic Nikkor 70-210 f4 D and a Yassica Flash. "Next time" so Denis "i'll be back at this place with an 85!!"

For the pictures below Denis didn't use the flash!! Just the light of the place. The location is very special. In one of the sides of the Casino, the wood on the floor and the ilumination directed to the ground is perfect! Denis tried to work with only this light with no more of 600 ISO, and what we can see here is the result!

flashless

Following our decision to concentrate on black and white in November we like to present you as a first black and white one, our editor's have chosen, an image of Özgür-Media from Hamburg, Germany. It shows model Lucina Davidjan and was taken by photographer Özgür Koca at 'Dockland' Hamburg.

Starting as a normal outdoor fashion shoot, photographer and model discovered, after the sun was finally down, a garage with some light to continue. So the photo was created more or less spontaneously. And, what is remarkable, they havn't used any flash or reflector, only available light.

Photographer Özgür Koca for this session was equippped with a Canon EOS 6D with Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART, Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lenses. For this special shoot he used the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens with ISO640 // ƒ1.4 // 1/200.

Thanks for giving us the permission to share this great photo here in Streetfashion MagZZine.
