our 'picture of the day' shows model Maria Clara, captured by photographer Wilson Gonzales. It was a rainy Sunday morning, when Wilson did the collaboration photoshoot with Maria Clara. "The model from brazil was amazing. As soon as the rain stopped, she did a great job, making her connecting poses, which made my life easier as photographer." so Wilson about the session. "Our make up artist, Kate Mendez, did an excellent job on doing the hair and make up on our classic-renegade-styled theme." Wilson was using a humble Sony A6000 and a 50mm sony lens. For the lighting he used a 600W portable strobe using its standard reflector as modifier. The photo was retouched using Photoshop and Lightroom CC. |

The shoot for our cover photo of february 2016 was set in a cemetery in Napa, California. The original intent was to shoot at a castle however, the staff was not so welcome with photographer Randy Deloviar and his team bringing in lighting/photography equipment.
Randy's comment about the shoot is as follows: "The shot was lit with a 22 inch white beauty dish camera rt and high to give a steep dramatic shadow on the face. I also added a gridded speed light behind and to the right of the model to add a subtle separation. I asked the model to look off in the direction of my key light and have her pretend the "big, bad, wolf" was coming in her direction. I thought she might think it was corny and evoke a smile. Well, she actually acted it out and I thought this look worked better than the smiling ones.
