This shotof Vaughan Imageworks was captured in a mountain meadow, at about 6000 ft., just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. Although the weather was lovely when photographer and model left for the shoot, by the time they arrived at the chosen location, the skies had darkened - they were beset by very cold, gale force winds and sleet. Both thought of scrapping the whole thing and going home. But then the model, Chrissy, who is not one to give up easily, thought they might as well try a few shots. So they found a bit of shelter from the elements on the leeward side of the mountain, and chanced upon a small berm, which featured gorgeous yellow wildflowers. Finally they snapped a few frames as the sun slid behind the distant mountains, back-lighting Chrissy's wonderful hair.
