In this Editor’s Choice Streetfashion MagZZine presents an on-location shoot in Rome. The amazing photos of model Eleonora Puglia were taken by photographer Alessandro Rossi.

Eleonora according to Alessandro is an amazing professional dancer, actress, a very nice person, humble and a talented model. In case of this session Alessandro chose to portray Eleonora in her capacity as an actress, seeking her expressiveness and emphasizing her elegant personality. To reach this, Alessandro designed a ''film-style'' mood with two looks; The first one ''business woman'' and the second more elegant and evening like.
The first part of the shooting was shot outside a train station transformed into a gigantic mall and restaurant. The session took place in the time from afternoon until evening.
Alessandro decided to mainly use the red bricks on the outside as a background, very clean and not too distracting, searching for leading-lines and using longer focal lengths (from 135mm to 200mm) and a fast aperture (f/2.8) to create a strong blurred ''cinema-style'' background. He shot with a Canon 6D and 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II. For the lighting Alessandro used a Canon Speedlite 430 EXII, through a 120cm Octabox, wireless triggered by the YN-622C triggers.
Picture
The second part of the shooting took place inside the mall & restaurant. There Alessandro wanted to get a a more sensual and elegant look. He used the same set-up here for camera and lens; the lighting was also provided by a single Speedlite (Canon 430 EXII), but this time in a 90x60cm softbox and with a 1/4 CTO Gel for balance the ambient light (more tungsten-like).

Thanks to both of you, Alessandro and Eleonora for giving us the opportunity to showcase these amazing set her in Streetfashion MagZZine.

public places project

last week photographer Harry Wilcken posted some photos out of his last shoot with model Lindsey Duinmayer in Streetfashion MagZZine's Facebook group. We have seen the photos and immediately decided to show you some more photos as well as some background of this session.
Picture
For Harry Wilcken this session is a part of his project of street portrait photography, he is working on since summer 2016. The goal of these sessions is to put the models in emblematic / most visited / well-known places of the city and make some portraits. Sometimes Harry works with a Make up artist, but he likes the models to be who they are, wearing their own clothes doing their make up and hair, and posing natural.
Model Lindsey Duinmayer  according to Harry is a young, beautiful, funny, extroverted and easy-going person, even she doesn’t like to smile very often.  A really good model to work with, nice long legs & sexy look.
Picture
Picture

Harry is processing almost the same way for each and every model he works with:
  • Contact / invitation to be a part of the project
  • Send a copy of the contract
  • Ask for some photos of the outfits they want to wear for the session
  • Scouting (Harry goes to the city to see the actual situation of the streets to check for construction works or events in planning)
  • Selection of date, usually on a Saturday
  • With all the above information, Harry makes a plan and a route for the session.
They use 4, 5 and sometimes 6 locations and the model changes outfits constantly.
As mentioned above, Harry chooses 4 to 6 different locations (close to each other). He tries to use places people visit the most, places full of history and /or with architectural interest. Old and new, no distictions.
Picture
Picture

For the project Harry uses a Nikon D-810, one prime lens Nikon 85mm 1.8 (back-up camera = Nikon D-300 with a 50mm 1.4 lens) and works with available light plus two off–camera flash units (Nikon) on tripods. As light modifiers he uses 40x40 cm softbox, snoot, grid.
For the camera settings Harry mostly reads the ambient light of the background and add extra light to the model without TTL. Color chart check every time possible.
Harry knows well how his camera catches skin tones and what chromatic aberration the lens he uses has, so he doesn’t spend so much time making readings for “a perfect” white balance.
Picture
For the post processing Harry tries to avoid editing the images. Lens correction and white balances are mandatory. A small correction to highlights and shadows when necessary. For the rest, he leave the images as they were taken.

As he just yesterday uploaded the photo to Streetfashion MagZZine's facebook group, we immediately asked him to publish it also in the magazine. And here we are to show you another amazing picture of photographer Stephan Pietzka of Visions2You featuring model Laura Luissk.

Stephan told us, that the photo was taken in a small industrial port near Hannover. "Because it was still quite cold on that day, my model Laura and I have agreed on just one outfit in advance. The theme, we had devised, was to present a modern and in the same time casual streetfashion look. And pretty model Laura even solved this task twice: On one hand the chic leather outfit combined with the white sneakers and the timeless woolen cap - a very cool, figurative style, that is always in fashion. This look just fit perfectly to the chosen location and the hard sunlight. The shiny leather outfit gave a great contrast to the strong orange tones of the chain excavator, which served as a background for this shoot. On the other hand - and this is always a decisive factor for a beautiful photo - the model here also brings the subject to a very competent and authentic look. Pose, expression, body tension and the subtle, natural make-up - all were perfectly and very convincingly provided by her" said Stephan.

For the shoot Stephan used a
Canon 5D Mark III with EF 2,8 / 70-200 IS USM II lens at an Iso of 400, a focal length of 85 mm with 4.5 aperture and a shutter speed of 1/640 sec.

Big thanks to Stephan for giving us the opportunity to publsih this great photo in Streetfashion MagZZine.

Again we spotted an amazing photo of Andreas-Joachim Lins in Streetfashion MagZZine's Flickr group. In this case it is a special pleasure  for us, cause Andreas captured model Julia Janine, who we also featured before. One more reason to show you some of the amazing photos out of this session.

Photographer Andreas-Joachim Lins told us the following to this session: "Model Julia Janine, make-up artist Néa Gebensleben and I have planned a fashion shooting in the city of Hannover at the so called blue hour / night.
The aim of the shoot was fashion away from the mainstream at rather unusual times. The finished photos serve to enhance the social media profiles and books of the participants."

Andreas used a Sony A7rII, a 35mm Zeiss Distagon with open aperture and a 55mm Zeiss Sonnar also with open aperture F1.8. The ISO of the selected photo is ISO 100 - all other shots were taken at> 4000 ISO in the dark. For the brightening - only during the blue hour - an LED light bar with 3200 Kelvin was used.

Andreas continued to tell us about the make-up and hair styling: "Julia's face is like a canvas, that can carry infinitely many different looks. At this shoot the natural beauty of Julia should be emphasized by a regular complexion as well as a contouring, that underlines Julia's beautiful facial shape. Lips and eyeshadow were put in nude tones and added with individual, very natural eyelashes. The whole team worked great and is very satisfied with the results."

Thanks to all of you for the excellent work during this session and for giving us the opportunity to show some of the photos here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

Streetfashion MagZZine featured him already beginning of last year. Photographer Andreas-Joachim Lins is regularly uploading his photos to Streetfashion MagZZine's Flickr group. In case of the photo, we like to show you today, Andreas and model Julia Kashchuk wanted to do a summer shooting in August 2016 at the Steinhuder Meer. The goal was to remain as natural as possible in the scenes and the lighting. Neither bouncing nor flashning are used. Instead, we searched for scenes, where we could avoid light shadows on Julia's face as much as possible. "Everything under the motto: keep it simple and natural" so Andreas. For the shoot he was equipped with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 35mm Sigma ART lens at F1.8.

Thanks to Andreas for giving us the opportunity to show this beautiful photo in Streetfashion MagZZine.

Dinara by Wilson Gonzales

Just today we discovered a photo in Streetfashion MagZZine's Flickr-group. It was taken by Wilson Gonzales, a photographer from Singapore, whom we already featured two years ago. The concept of the photo is a street style photoshoot. According to Wilson there was not much planning done for this shot. He just had a reference photo and showed it to model Dinara A. and her agency, Upfront Models Singapore, and then they were good to go.

Wilson has asked Russian model Dinara, which clothes she has and to bring those with her to the agreed location. He has chosen to shoot on a Sunday morning, so that there would be less people around. They have done the shoot somewhere in Clarke Quay, Singapore, which is perfect for casual street style. Wilson has used his current gear, which is a Nikon D610 and a Nikon 85mm f1.8G. In case of this shot he hasn't used any artificial lighting, cause they wre constantly moving. Dinara's make up was done by none other than make up artist Kath Guanzon, who made a great job on the natural looks.

Luigi Sotres ... perspectives

One of the photos out of the session, we like to show you today, was spotted by our team some weeks ago in Streetfashion MagZZine's Flickr group. The session was created and photographed in December 2016 by Luigi Sotres, a 29 year old photographer from Mexico City and shows 18 year old model Izumy Marquez Coria “Melody". Themes of the session were flexibility and the fusion of visions.
Picture
The photography session was held in the center of Mexico City ... a multicultural city full of flavors, colors, eyes and steps ... The foreign influence is visible and adapted in all the surroundings, the natural, the urban and the classic.

"Play, Explore and Have Fun ... As a photographer I am a follower of exploring beyond and with eyes of the heart. I like the philosophy of learning by doing". so Luigi Sotres.
Picture

Model Izumy is a "Hueso Colorado" athlete (born with passion), a way of saying, that her whole life has made and improved by the art of controlling her body. She's a dancer, gymnast, athlete and model.

Luigi continues "It was fun and very easy for her to transform into modeling. We had fun as two children exploring for the first time photography and reflection".
Picture

The session tries to project the human ability, the simplicity of life, and the fragitlity of life ... a simple movement alters all reality, a simple thought leads us to imagine beyond the stars, a simple dance connects us with the cosmos ... the work of Luis Sotres is, so Luigi "always to transmit and connect to the infinite cosmos with our life on earth and the presence of creative love in each one of us."

Luigi ends with the words "Philosophy is created from these pictures, that we achieve and with love, taste and passion we hope to reach your minds ..."

tree and the desert

You already have seen this photo on our first cover in 2017. For all, who like to know more about it, we here provide some additional info:

"Phoenix Aperture and Hapa Clothing originally wanted to collaborate on a look book for Hapa Clothing’s 2016 summer lookbook. We hired Amber as our model, and we went to Joshua Tree, California, for that desert and summer look. It so happened that the day was perfectly sunny with clouds providing a beautiful backdrop. Dali Ma, the photographer, asked Amber to present a wanderer’s look, adventuring alone in the desert.

Dali Ma aimed for his trademark outdoor high fashion style, with lifestyle photos incorporated in the set and concept. With Hapa Clothing’s beautiful floral summer styles, Dali and Amber were able to create a set that has depth, enthusiasm, as well as intimacy. Click here to view the entire album."

Before Christmas we introduced photographer Alexander Plonsky to you in ZZ PHOTOGRAPHER FEATURE. Just this week Alexander uploaded some of his new photos, showing model Olga Bugoltceva, to Streetfashion MagZZine's Facebook group. We spotted these photos and like to show them to you here in the magazine.
"Looking at Olgas' photos" so Aleaxander "I noticed how good black color looks on her, especially clothes with hood! And I was really curious to work with that image. I couldn't figure me the best background right away and Reyes "tfl studio", as it can be changed easily to almost everything. Together with Olga, we created the best "art corner".
Picture

For this session Alexander used a Sony A7 with 55/1.8 ZE lens and iso 320-500, F1.8-2.2, 1/125-1/320 c.
Thanks to both of you Olga and Alexander for sharing these amazing photos with us here in Streetfashion MagZZine.

It was last week, that we discovered a photo on Facebook and immediately decided, that we like to show it to all of you here in Streetfashion MagZZIne.

We contacted photographer Martin Ecker and here we go with not only the one photo, we spotted, but with several others out of this session, that took place in Linz, Austria.
Martin told us, that after they often have worked together successfully, Martin again was planning this shoot with the same model. They agreed to meet in Linz (Donau) and have chosen the inner city of Linz as the starting point. The shoot took place on a sunny autumn day in October.

Martin had considered an approximate route, where he knew some suitable places and there they took photos to finally end up in the park "Volksgarten".

Martin always looks for new places of interest in the city - entranceways, fences, patterns, reflections, etc.

For this session he was equipped with a Sony A7 II with 85mm 1.4, and photographed, as almost always, with very open aperture. He worked only with available light.
