ACQUO of Sweden is a Swedish brand. The ACQUO boot has a history of innovation and sensual design. First they were made in the late 70´s in Sweden and became extremely popular. The shaft and the sole of the boots are made of 100% natural rubber of the highest quality.

| Around 2010 Jessica Lingonstierna first came in contact with some of these amazing boots, which were manufactured in the 70's. It was only a few pairs left and the production and company were closed long time ago. Jessica decided to do something about this! Now, 2016, Jessica and her team are finally producing and selling the boots again! 2015 and 2016 has been fun, hectic and challenging 2 years for both, herself and her new company, ACQUO of Sweden. The new version of these beautifully soft rubber boots has been very carefully crafted to keep to the original design, but with a slightly improved sole with printed logo. ACQUO is made of 100% natural rubber. The boot is soft, semi-shiny and black. If the market requires other or new versions of the boots, ACQUO will also respond to that, and are considering new colours and models for the future generation of ACQUO boots to meet the emerging needs of their customers.

Jessica, please briefly tell us about yourself and your passion. Have you always been fascinated by fashion and design?

I am an entrepreneur and the Owner of ACQUO of Sweden, a company that makes wonderful boots and now also a stunning shopping bag. I have been working with ACQUO for about 6 years, but I started the company in April 2015. I love having my own business. I also have another brand that is coming out in about 5 months, that is a romantic brand with dress, jacket, bag and a few more things. Evy Alfrida it is called. I love to design and I love the freedom of running my own company. But it is very much hard work also. I work all the time, but I love it. I have not always been interested in boots, but I have always been interested in design, business and running my own company. My passion is to work with what I love, at hours that fits me and I love to work hard.

How did you balance aesthetics and functionality in your pieces?
Like I said, I tried out three different factories before I was satisfied with both aesthetics and functionality. I want the boots to look and feel like they did in the 1970’s

| What inspired you to your performance to revive an old brand and set up a new company for it? I noticed that it was a demand for these boots and I just decided to go for it. I love taking chances in life. Define your personal style. I am more of a romantic girl. I never wear jeans, I love dresses and boots together Who would you say is your 'style muse'? I really don’t have one. I look at a lot of different things and pick up styles from different places. |  |

Elegance is to me beauty that shows simplicity.

Who is your favourite designer?
I don’t have one. Probably because I am not an educated designer myself. I listen to my self and I look everywhere for ideas.

| Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar? I don’t read any of them really, but from time to time I look in both. Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? I like Odd Molly. But not any particular piece. |  |
What advice would you give someone who wants to pursue a career in creative craftsmanship?
Go for it! I love fashion and I love working online. I also love traveling and being a model so I do everything in my own company. This was never a risk to me, more of a chance. I thought, if this does not work out, I have at least tried. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
