We featured her last year in September. Today we like to show you some more photos out of a current session of our featured model Kirsty Wright, who in this case was captured by photographer Dean Mcdougall. Kirsty and Dean planned a location shoot in a City in the North East of England on the 15thApril 2018 after Kirsty became agency signed with the international agency Northern Influence. This is the second time Kirsty and Dean have worked together over the past year. Both model and photographer are based in the city Newcastle in the North East of England! With 4 years’ experience in the modelling industry Kirsty, who will become 19 in July, is already a national and international published model. She works with a wide range of photographers, make-up artists, hair stylists, business and companies in commercial fashion and beauty modeling as well as catwalk. She is a size 6 with a height of 5”8. You can check out her Facebook, her model page on Instagram and also her main Instagram to see more of her photos. |
Dean Mcdougall started as a landscape photographer and carried on from there and now is working with models and doing portraiture. He also has 4 years’ experience in the photography industry and works with a range of models in the North East industry as well as in connection with other photographers. His gear is the Nikon D3300. When planning this photoshoot, it was thought to do a shoot to get some updated images for Kirsty’s model books and to start updating Dean’s photography book for him getting back into portraiture photography after a few months off from it due to other work commitments and photographing weddings.
The both of them spent just under 2 hours on location for this photoshoot and the outcome of the images was amazing. The location, they chose, was their home town Newcastle as it was central and easy to get to for both of them, however, they tried to get unique shots from places in Newcastle that have not been used before. In the images shown in this article Kirsty and Dean chose to use the area around the Theatre Royal for these shots as the location.
The style of the outfit was based off every day street fashion but linked to what you would wear at a model casting (black top and blue jeans or sometimes white top and black jeans). They chose this in order for the images to stand out on Kirsty’s model book. As well as it is linking in with the location, they felt like this outfit was fresh and simple, but stands out against the other work, Kirsty has done over the past years in the industry. The ripped jeans and lace up stiletto boots are the statement pieces of the outfit.
They made a good team as model and photographer as both are very professional and easy to get along with. They can’t wait to work with each other again! Most of all, the outcome of the images is exactly, what both were aiming for.
We love the pictures and like to thank Kirsty and Dean for giving us permission to show the photos here in Streetfashion MagZZine.
