24 Days, 24 Doors, 24 Opportunities to get featured!

Christmas season is almost here and some countries count down the days until Christmas with a so-called advent calendar. Traditionally, an advent calendar contains a small piece of chocolate for each day until Christmas, but in the past years, a variety of advent calendars has emerged, featuring all sorts of products like different lipsticks, socks, toys or even dog treats - you name it. While we'd love to spoil all our readers with chocolate, we must unfortunately admit that that would be a logistical nightmare before Christmas (pun intended...). Instead we thought, we'd stick to what we're best at - provide  a platform for aspiring artists to showcase their work and get the recognition they deserve! So from December 1st, we'll open a virtual advent calendar door each day containing an article featuring different artists' work, their advice on how to start or improve in a specific field of work and lots of other fun content! Want to be one of them? Read the instructions below to learn how to take part in our Advent Calendar Special! 
Not an artist? Support your favourite artist instead by voting for them to be on our online cover for January 2021 and get a feature in our first print edition of 2021! Voting will start on December 25th, so stay tuned and follow us on social media to not miss your chance to vote! 

HOW TO TAKE PART IN STREETFASHION MAGZZINE ADVENT CALENDAR

To take part you need to...
  • submit 5 to 20 high resolution photos (min. 300 dpi) and/or 1 to 3 high resolution videos 
  • submit a short text (max. 150 words) why you should be featured in our Advent Calendar and what you can bring to our festive, virtual table
  • You need to be the owner or have the rights for the pictures you send in.and comply with and agree to our and general terms and agreements (see linked below)
  • Send everything to [email protected] with the subject 'MERRY FEATURE'

If you take part...
  • you have the chance to win your own feature, Editor's Choice or article on our website showcasing your work in front of an international audience consisting of other artists, models, photographers, designers, and many more!

  • your fans and our readers can vote for you to be on the cover of our online cover for January 2021!
  • you can make an additional chance to be on our online cover for December 2020 if you submit your work until November 29th!​​

FAQ

CAN I SUBMIT MY WORK?

You can submit your work if you are an aspiring artist within the field of photography, modelling, makeup and hair, fashion design, beauty and lifestyle. It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner, semi-professional or professional. You need, however, own all rights to the work you submit (think if you are a photographer, we need a model release and, if applicable, a location release). You can read our more about our requirements in our submission terms right here (opens in a new window). If you are und 18, we also need written permission of your parents or legal guardian. ​

HOW DO I KNOW WHETHER MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL OR NOT?

Our Editorial team will continuously review all applications and contact you, if you were chosen for one of the 24 spots and/or the December cover feature. Please know, that due to the volume of editorials we normally receive, we only respond to the ones that we accept. If you send us an application and do not hear back from us, chances are your work was not accepted for the Advent Calendar Special. However, we encourage you to submit this or other work again for potential use in the future. 

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF MY APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED?

If your application is accepted, we will contact you by email with more information. Once you have submitted all additional information we may require (such as answers to interview questions or similar), keep an eye on our website and social media to see when your article is being published!
