It is 2020 and it's been one hell of a year - pardon our language, but we really don't know how to put it differently. Towards the end of the year we find ourselves reminiscing about and longing for times long gone, so we are so ready for a fashion throwback - and why not take the 70s! "There are no rules in the fashion game now", Vogue declared in the early 70s, and after a year of rules and restrictions that basically covered every aspect in our lives, fashion is the one thing through which we can express ourselves freely. So give us short skirts, tall boots and pink, furry hats! Enjoy this Editor's Choice titled "70s Pink"!

"70s Pink"
"The editorial "70s Pink" was born at the beginning of the second wave of Covid-19 in Spain. It is an editorial that is carried out with very few resources and time, in front of the new threat of total confinement, in fact, many of the actions carried out are very similar to a TFP carried out by an amateur.
The model, Juls, was the first time she had a session for a professional. She has tanned skin, and a very youthful face, so a light-toned, youth-looking dress would work perfectly. I decided to go for a short dress and furry cap in pink, with white vinyl boots, since we achieved a youthful look like in the 60s and 70s, a time marked by short skirts. Perhaps a furry dress printed in white and black would have worked the same and we would have been even more in "trend" this season, unfortunately, as I indicated, this year 2020 has been very complex to be able to make editorials. The makeup has been done digitally, since we did not have a makeup artist due to the few resources available at this time. The cap was an important element, since it avoids complex actions in the hairstyle. The editorial was done outdoors, with a simple medium-size reflector, it was a day with cloudy intervals, so the light conditions were easy to do outside. Being autumn, the trees already give you warm tones and leaves on the ground, providing a romantic and nostalgic vision. The result was some very simple and "Street fashion" photos." |
Why ZZ Loves It
Pink and 70s. Need we say more? We just love the theme of the shoot! Fashion-wise, the 70s were an iconic time and who doesn't enjoy a fashion throwback shoot? It's fun and pink and Juls looks gorgeous in the pink dress, the pink hat and the white boots! We also have to give kudos to Xavi and Juls for getting so creative during an otherwise very hard time. It is a difficult time for everyone, also for photographers and other creatives. Creating new content in a responsible way is difficult, so we think it's so cool that Xavi added the makeup digitally instead of involving a third person for hair and makeup. Would you have guessed when you first saw the photos?
