Seeing your remarkable work, I am curious where your creativity comes from?
Thanks, the internet is great for ideas and inspiration & working with other creatives in the area. Also as I`m driving I`m always on the look out for new locations.

Could you share with us how you first became interested in photography?
My love of photography was there from a young age when I had a Kodak 110. Later progressing to a 35mm SLR before losing interest, I think life got in the way, but I regained my love of photography a few years back.
What equipment are you using now and with what did you get started? I`m currently using the Nikon D500 & D7200 bodies, my lenses include Nikon 16-80 f2.8-4, Nikon 50mm f1.8, Nikon 70-300 & the Sigma 150-600. My first digital body was a Panasonic bridge camera. What is your favorite lens? For portrait work I usually use the Nikon 50mm f1.8 but occasionally I`ll use the Nikon 16-80, depending on the composition. Can you tell us about your work flow from the point until you showcase the developed picture? I use Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop and PortraitPro for editing. I usually try to get it right in camera to minimise my time on the pc. |
Do you see a particular influence, be it a photographer or school on your work?
I get some influences from other photographers in my area as there's a strong presence in my area, also from the models I regularly work with.

Among your works, which is your favorite and why?
It`s almost impossible to pick a favourite as it`d change with each shoot, it`d be difficult to narrow it down to one.
Tell us your funniest or most awkward photography story.
I was shooting a waterfall in the Lake District, Cumbria and me and the camera took a tumble. I dislocated my thumb and the camera & lens went under the water, sadly the body was unrepairable.
What would you tell a newcomer who asks for your advice on how to start?
Listen to other togs, don't be afraid to ask questions and see if someone is happy to let you tag along on one of their shoots.
