It is one of the challenges for a people photographer to catch a person in front of the setting sun. With this article we can show you a successful example. Even if it was a windy evening according to photographer Peter Engström, model Paulina Kielczewska and him set off for the coast near Peter's birthplace in the archipelago of western Sweden. It may have been windy, but the sunset is just as worth seeing as the adorable model Paulina, perfectly staged by Peter. Thanks to both of them for leaving us these incredibly beautiful pictures, of which we already have shown one on our online cover August 2020. Let yourself be impressed by these pictures and read what Peter has to say about this shooting.

"This was the first time I met Paulina. I had only seen her on Instagram earlier and thought she might fit the theme of the swimsuit/bikini idea. She also brought a friend, who helped out with everything. It was really a great shoot and the weather was beautiful, but very windy.
I wanted to shoot a bikini or swimsuit session at sundown and wanted the sun to go down beautifully behind the model. Therefore I needed to use flash and i also got assisted by Paulina's friend Leilin, who followed along. She did a great job, because it was really windy outside and I wouldn’t have been able to get these shots without help.

For the shots in the blue bikini I used a Godox AD200 flash and a small softbox, that Leilin held for me. For these pictures i used the Tamron SP 90mm f2.8m Macro lens.
The dark blue swimsuit on the rocks was shot with a Sigma 35mm f1.4 art lens and Godox AD600B flash with a Godox P120L parabolic softbox as modifier, which again Leilin held for me."
What we've learned from Peter's words is, that in case you work outside with flashes, you should have some person to assist you, especially it is kind of windy just like Peter reported about that day.
