if you can define art, I have been an interior designer for many years. |
Seeing your remarkable work, I am curious where your creativity comes from?
My creativity is born with me. I have always needed to let out my creative part and, if for so many years I have been able to do with interior design, when I decided to change, it happened by chance to lead me to photography. |
Could you share with us how you first became interested in photography?
As I said before, it was by chance. A professional photographer put a SLR in my hand and told me "shoot !". When I saw the result, I decided that this would be my job
What equipment are you using now and with what did you get started?
Currently I use a Nikon d750 combined with 35, 50, 85 mm 1.8 Nikon, tamron 24-70 2.8 and sigma art 50mm. I started with a nikon d3000, I switched to the d5500 and finally to the Nikon d750, full frame much more performing
What is your favorite lens?
Definitely 85 mm.

Can you tell us about your work flow from the point until you showcase the developed picture?
I think about my sets before realizing them and, once on location, I try to do everything I have set myself.
I shot mainly with natural light and develop my photographs with adobe lightroom and then pass them on photoshop.
Do you see a particular influence, be it a photographer or school on your work?
I don't think I have suffered a particular influence, I think I have suffered many influences :-) I have always looked carefully at the great fashion photographers but, at the same time, I look and study conceptual and emotional photography.
What would you say characterizes your work in comparison to other photographers?
I think I have a good composition and to create elegant and evocative scenes. I think my color grading is quite identifiable and I try to pay close attention to the detail. Certainly, I still have to learn a lot.
Among your works, which is your favorite and why?
It’s a work done for a mother suffering from a neuro-degenerative disease. She wanted to make a set to leave for her 7-year-old daughter as a reminder of when she was fine. Her strength has kidnapped me and stole my heart.
Tell us your funniest or most awkward photography story.
I always enjoy the set and the strangest photography ... well, I still have to do it :-)
What would you tell a newcomer who asks for your advice on how to start?
I don't think I can give great advice. I think it's important to study the great photographers, the composition, the post production and, in general, never stop being curious and want to learn.
