We already featured him in spring 2016 and thereafter published several of his shoots in our magazine. Also today's editor’s choice features a shoot of photographer Justin Bonaparte, who in this case was shooting model Morgan Obes.
This is a classic fashion shoot on the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Justin, please tell our readers a little bit about yourself to begin with.
My name is Justin Bonaparte and I'm a 47 year old software engineer. I have been photographing people for the past 15 years as a serious hobby. I've lived in Charlotte, NC for 20 years.
How were you inspired to do this shoot and how did it get started?
I spotted Morgan's profile on model mayhem. I saw that she was a local model, so I followed the link to her Instagram and asked if she'd be interested in doing a shoot. It took us a little bit of back and forth as we were both busy, but we finally figured out a day and time that worked for us both.
How and why did you choose this exact location?
I had Morgan look through her wardrobe and pick out a few outfits that she wanted to model. Once we had a good idea of the kinds of clothing she would wear, we picked a great, urban location that would give us the look and feel we wanted. I love to use the environment to give images a sense of season, mood and space.
Tell us about the planning process of the actual shoot.
Planning the shoot was easy - I didn’t do it! Part of the reason I love shooting is developing ideas on the spot and creating out of what you've been given. Weather, light, background and wardrobe, I like to put the pieces together like a puzzle and solve problems with light and location as part of the process.
What were the thoughts behind the lighting?
My usual method is to shoot with natural light or a single strobe, occasionally mixing it up with a second strobe for backlight or rim light if I feel feisty. As I usually shoot around golden hour, I mainly use the sun as a backlight/rim.
What camera equipment did you use on this shoot?
I had been an Olympus shooter since 2006, but recently moved to Sony with the A7III + several bright primes. My new favorite is the Sigma DG DN 85/1.4, which has quickly replaced my Sony FE 85/1.8. I also use the Sigma 35/1.4, Sony 50/1.8 and Sony 28/2.

Why ZZ Loves It
Would you call someone overdressed, if they stood at a busy crossing in a gorgeous dress and fabulous hair? Maybe you would.
However in our opinion it doesn't matter, if you are overdressed or not as long as you totally own it like Morgan does in this shoot.
Kudos to you and the rays of confidence you radiate Morgan.
Kudos to Justin as well, who has managed to produce such a beautiful bokeh in these pictures. Keep it up!
