Today we like to provide you more photos and information about the photo session of our current cover photo April 2018. The shoot took place with photographer Andreas-Joachim Lins and model Lexilu in a lost place in Hanover, northern Germany. The rotting industrial halls formed the framework for a special kind of summer fashion shoot. In the afternoon the light flooded through the high window frames of the location and enfolds the scene into a considerable spatial depth. |
Together with a powerful F1.4 35mm lens, portraits were created, that let the whole depth of the space sink into the bokeh and almost take the viewer into the pictures.
The destroyed and abandoned environment in all photos is in direct contrast to model Lexi’s beauty, which is the counterpoint of every scene. In conjunction with the light the summer outfits create an optical symbiosis, which should lead the viewer into the impression, that Lexi actually belongs at that place.
The color values of the photos are completely uniformly graded and shifted to the reddish-ultramarine. Andreas used a Canon 5D Mark III plus 35mm Sigma ART F1.4. At the time of the shoot, the temperature in Hannover was 35 °Centigrade and they had a light breeze, which can be seen on some photos in Lexi’s flying hair.
