Meet Aina Brandholm - our cover model for February 2020. One of our editors spotted her earlier this year on Modelmanagement. We loved her looks and her background in dance and wanted to know more about her. Helmut Jeels was happy to get her in front of his camera and captured her in an exclusive photo shoot for Streetfashion MagZZine. Read the full interview to learn more about the woman whose character and personality are just as extraordinary as her looks and style. |
Aina, please tell us a little bit about yourself to begin with. How old are you? Where were you born and where do you live now? What is your profession and do you have other besides modelling?
Im 25 years young, I was born in Spain but I live in Gothenburg, Sweden, now. I work as a receptionist in a hotel and I have my own company in the travel industry. I also have been dancing since I was a child - that's my passion! What do you love most about modelling? What I love most about modelling is expressing myself through different moves and showing my character through pictures. I also like to bring in my creativity using different poses and pushing the borders of and getting out of my comfort zone. What’s been the highlight of your career so far? The highlight was when I found out that I can get out of my comfort zone and do something different with my life. |
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
The highlight was when I found out that I can get out of my comfort zone and do something different with my life. Which photographers in the industry do you most enjoy working with? I enjoyed working a lot with Helmut Jeels. He was so professional, very calm person and focused. Tell us about some of your recent photo shoots. The last shoot was an amazing experience and it was so smooth and easy to work with him. We did a great work together, and at the end of the photoshoot both our hands were freezing and we were almost paralysed from the cold, because we did the shoot outside and it was very cold, but that didn't stop us from performing 110%. What really goes on behind the scenes as a model? Behind the scenes, you get to talk to the photographer, get to know each other. People that pass by always get curious and you get attention from them. |
Who would you say is your 'style muse'?
I love Olga Semyonova, she is my muse, an amazing model and leader. Your favourite designer is… ? Yves Saint Laurent. Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar? Harper's Bazaar. Is there any particular designer piece you are crushing on right now? I have one crush on the Sunset Crocodile leather bag from Yves Saint Laurent. What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years? In 5 years, I will be a very successful woman. I will have been featured in the magazine of the most successful women in the world and I am living my dream dancing and traveling the world. If you could be anywhere else but here, where would you go? I would go to Tahiti, French Polynesia. |
