This fascinating photo of model Maria Kartamysheva, which we have chosen our picture of the day, was taken at high rise building in an abandoned rooftop carpark of China Town in Singapore by photographer and make-up artist Kate Aguilar. "I love how i captured Maria's towering beauty making her pop out from this abandoned place. The way the wind moves her dress makes it all perfect" so photographer Kate Aguilar about the picture. Kate Aguilar has always been a lover of arts. She is a professional singer and a professional makeup artist. Now recently venturing to the world of fashion photography. Kate also modeled for 7 years. Being able to be in front of the camera first helped her a lot knowing how models should look best on photo-shoots. In her mind she can already process what angle would look best for the photos. Kate believes that the essential factors for a good photo is to have the perfect model for the shoot. Suited hair and make-up, clothes and styling depending what theme you want to achieve. Proper angle, poses, facial expression plus lighting and location too. She specializes in fashion, editorial and portrait photography. For her every photo-shoot is an achievement and a way to learn new things. She believes that it is important to have good connection with every model she works with. She makes sure that they are comfortable working with her. Photography made her realize that life is endless to many good opportunities. “ We live to evolve. The photo is taken by Forlorn Treasures and we realize perfectly the great experience of the photographer to combine urban exploration with people photography. The blue of the walls and gate of this delapidated building mirrors the beautiful blue eyes of model Alisa, who made a great job with her performance in this shoot.  ... is this picture named by model Manuela Canosa, cause it looks like a summer shoot, but was realized on the 13th of February this year. Manuela is a quite experienced model and make up artist. So she was not only modeling, but also did the make up herself. Captured was Manuela by photographer Axel Richtsteiger at the location 'Lindener Hafen' in Hannover, Germany. The post processing was done by Jinsei Sarah.
