The makeup can not be colorful, the clothes not ostentatious enough to emphasize the soul of awesome people. Inspired by another artist, Charles M. Burns, who created great clothes with simple materials, Matthias last year created a project based on this idea.
Equipped with 10 safety pins and 5 meters cloth he contacted model Nadine Hofschneider to get her excited about the project. Her response to his idea was simple: "I'm ready, why are you so slow? Let’s go for it!".
Lucky Matthias, that he has such spontaneous models as friends. Already 30 minutes later they arrived at the Lake "Ruderregatta" in Munich. A place with history. The lake is located in the north of Munich in Oberschleißheim, created on the occasion of the Summer Olympics 1972. Architect Michael Eberl was distinguished with the „Grand Prix of the Association of German Architects”. The perfect place for Matthias' idea. A great project, and perhaps one of the few Olympic facilities, that are still operational.
incorporating a Make-Up-Artist. Natasha was the responsible Make-Up-Artist in the shoot with model Filiz Günther. „Filiz is a really great, expressive Model. It was a pleasure to work with her“, so Matthias.
A few weeks later Matthias then aksed „the Russian soul of elegancy“, Katerina Garmatenko, to join his project. She just said „yes“ and they took some amazing photos outside in perfect weather. Katerina for this shoot was styled by Anna Schmidt as Make-Up-Artist.
