Today we like to show you a skater shooting, that really impressed us. It was created in Plettenberg for the inauguration of the new skating track at the school center. First of all photographer Carsten Schmidthaus of IMAGO-CS had to find a suitable model, which was available even the timeline was quite short. He looked at the potential candidate models on facebook and then decided to ask Jasmin Hirschfeld. A very good choice, as we see. Jasmin provided the outfit and also has done the make-up on her own. |
After Carsten then had picked up Jasmin, they went directly to the new skating track. There it was, however, incredibly crowded. The two would had to wait a long time before they could have started with their shoot and in addition certainly a lot of people would have stared at them during the shoot.
Once they had decided to drop the shoot and were a bit frustrated on their way back, the old skating track in the neighboring town came in their mind. Once there, they found it totally empty. So they were alone and had enough space for the shoot and more than this also perfect lighting conditions. And off they went with available light and a Canon 6D with Canon 85 / 1.8 lens and a sunbounce zebra mini refelector.

Although Jasmin upfront the shoot told Carsten, that she is not experienced in modeling, Carsten clearly says, that Jasmin has given everything and with the help of her sister Clarissa in a short time brilliant photos were taken. Most Carsten was impressed by Jasmin to be able to perfectly fill the role of a skater girl.
For us both of them did a great job. Congrats.
